Bethany Village blue house removal

Until February 2016, Bethany Village was home to the largest Linden tree in Ohio. The tree was badly diseased and experts agreed it could not be saved. The Bethany Linden tree was removed on February 18 as a starting point of the new parking lot project. The Linden tree stood watch over a small home, most recently used by Wright State University as a living lab for nursing students. The home is a replica of one of the four original farmhouses on the land that would become Bethany Village. Over years the home housed residents and later administrative offices.

My Dad did the same thing to one of his that Squatters took over. While they were gone. Dad leveled the house. They came back as Dump trucks were loading up the last of the remains. My Dad was Cited for Failure to have a Demolition Permit with a $35.00 fine.

Read the video description. This was a replica home on campus used as student housing, lab, administration. No mention of anything wrong with the structure other than it was in the way of a parking lot.

Why couldn't all the siding, windows, a lot of the wood, cabinets, be used for tiny homes for homeless ppl???? This is so wasteful just for more parking. They could've paid ppl to take it down without demolishing it then dorrs could've been used etc... Probably for the cost of running that dozer and paying the company running it!!! This is how my Dad got rid of Squatters in one of his Houses. When they left for the day an Excavator like this hired by him showed up. And 2 hours later the Squatters come back to a Vacant lot being smoothed over.

That the first thing I thought. Looked like a pretty dern nice house. Those windows could have been donated to some poor person who had real bad old windows. Hell, the entire house could have just been MOVED over or given away and the money they spent on the backhoe could have been donated to have the house moved to someone who needed a NICE new house. Just goes to show, even Churches can be sinners! Sinners is the more polite word than the ones I was originally thinking! Just GREED! Not in Jesus's name would they let someone have even the good windows, and how much you want to bet they did not remove the cabinets or doors and sink or anything else that could have been donated either. I AM A CHRISTIAN! THIS church is NOT!

That's a perfectly good home for the millions of homeless people. Where do we sign up to donate to Graceworks Lutheran Services and apply for football scholarships along with the college admissions scandals.

Hey, we have this really cool house with lots of green space and we have to remove a diseased tree? What should we do? Tear it all out and put up a parking lot!

Should have sold the home and had it removed rather then destroy it altogether. Humanity needs to learn to re-use and recycle the world resources, not toss everything into the rubbish landfill.
