Omg, Jose Jose! I remember my parents listening to him and others like Camilo Sesto, Sandro, amongst other greats of Spanish music of that time; so nostalgic! I think in the same vein of singers that convey emotion through the language barrier Gackt made me feel the same way with his song Seki-ray. Its so dramatic and full of emotion that even though I didnt understand the lyrics when I heard it the first time, he's a Japanese singer, I did feel a lot of things and so much melancholy. I think you'd like it too 😊

Great reaction and analysis. Thanks for the tip about moving your lips forward, I'll have to keep that in mind. I listen to a handful of artists who perform in other languages. I find it freeing to shut down the part of my brain that analyses lyrics and just enjoy the voice as an instrument. As far as Mexican singers go, I recommend Marcela Bovio. A truly wonderful Mexican singer, among many, is Natalie Lafourcade. She is a young woman who has had a number of hits on the Latin charts in recent years - very highly recommended for the quality of her voice. And yes, I love Jose Jose too.

José José have been one of my favorites artists since i was very young, i believe that i knew most of his work, but a couple of months ago, a friend showed me these songs that no doubt are a precious stone from his carrier, "El Solitario (insane dynamic), "Condenado", "Gotas de fuego" and "lo que quedó de mi", those were not singles, so is very difficult to find a live version, but you will love them! Grat work! keep doing awesome stuff !

Almohada means pillow. And it's probably the world's greatest song because it's a dedication to our best friend, the pillow. I hug it before bed and after waking up.

There are musicians who are good at singing, but there are the ones who carry a musical instrument on their vocal chords, in instrument that requires lots of practice, tuning, developing the right timber, breath control, expresive range, color, and maintenance. People did not assisted to his concerts to hear songs, they did it to have the pleasure and privilege to hear his voice.

I can't recommend the bolero glam band ' daniel, me estas matando' enough. For a genre that doesn't get much love these days, their songs are definitely a treat. A few favorites are "somos algo", "fugate", "ya no es lo mismo", and of course "diez pasos hacia ti".
