"Soulless Creatures" are written from Mother Earths perspective, and we are the soulless creatures. "Dance On The Moon" lyrics are very enigmatic, I haven't seen anyone with a good explanation for all of it. This is from Aurora wiki, not sure who wrote it: "The song is about a person who is comfortable with their emotional side but feels that the world moves it away from them with its aggressiveness, fear, and hate. The person is only free when they are alone but still recognizes that the world is very bad and wonders if they should sacrifice for it."

Here is a quote from Aurora to prepare you for the newest album (from before it was released, no spoilers), it is very playful and experimental, and she explores many different genres and instruments, almost every song is very different from the last one: youtu . be / YytOgPVXqK0&t=3m24s "Sonically what can you tell us about kind of ehh, is this (Cure For Me) kind of representative of what you're exploring on the next record. Is it a sign of what's to come?" "Ehh No! It's very NOT how the album sounds, which is very exciting. But it has something in common with the album, that I am experimenting with new things and new sides, which I am enjoying. Because it is easy for me to make a really "Aurora" album you know, like that feels like nature and Mother Earth. It is very easy for me to do that because it comes so naturally for me, so I have been *really* enjoying just doing something new this time, doing something different. Because this is my third...and a half....album, and it's about time, you know, in my mind I needed to just play around and do something different, and for me music has always been extremely serious and no fun. It's been very like very serious, and I always write very serious things, and I can see myself like standing on stage every night for an hour and being like really sad all the time, because all my songs are so filled with so much sadness, you know. I just wanted to make an album for myself that had a bit more playfulness and cheekiness and wildness. It's very exciting, I'm very excited to share the album with you."

The same, this album has grown on me so much since my first listen. IOADK and ADKOH are my favorite albums from her, the lyrics are perfection. But I do prefer IOADK because sonically, it's better than ADKOH. My ranking of Aurora's albums if you're curious : 4- AMDGMAAF (I think the production don't work well with her voice in a lot of songs. 6,5/10) 3- TGWCT (Really good concept but with a concept like this, maybe the album could've been more cohesive and there's two songs that I don't really care. 8/10) 2- ADKOH (Incredible lyrics, she shows the real potential of her voice and there's a good production but some songs don't captivate me that much like they are cute but nothing more. 9/10) 1- IOADK (Incredible lyrics, incredible voice, better production than ADKOH, no miss for me but I can't put a 10 because nothing's perfect. 9,5/10)

In the song “Dance on the moon” when she says “im an Angel when nobody enters my room” and the “feel time looking out my window watching me dance on the moon” I think she refers to when we are just in our rooms daydreaming and looking out of the window letting your imagination go on, so when somebody enters the room that “fantasy” is lost

I need to hear your opinion on Soulless Creatures now because that is literally one of my favorite songs from her and there’s no way anybody could think it was a bad song. She put so much emotion into that song and I feel like i’m ascending to heaven everytime I listen to it. Everything Aurora makes is a masterpiece. Also, her affect is multiplied with headphones

Aurora’s songs are like home. A lot of her songs have the word “home” as well. I enjoy your reaction every time you react to her!

Awesome reaction! As for the song who holds the title of the album, it is about when we say that it's always the good people who pass away, or people that are taken early in life. She said she likes to imagine there's something like an alien race that just comes and tells you that you're too pure for this world, and that they're taking you away, in their mothership, to your home. I personally love the concept. One of my favorite albums! And a lot of artists choose to have calm outros on their albums, like an instrumental, as something you hear while the credits of a movie roll up; a good bye song. Mostly 60's music, which she takes a lot of inspiration from. Keep up the good videos, you're so enjoyable to watch!

If I would _have to_ choose last favorites I would choose Hunger and maybe Mothership, but her music is just great. I dont want to say which one I love the most as it is very hard for me to decide, but for sure Soulless Creature is much higher in my ranking than in yours (in top part) :). Dance of the Moon is incredible and for sure one of my favorites from album but also one of the hardest song to interpret for me :). Of course love also f.e. Seed, Daydreamer. At first I was not sure about Apple Tree as it is not in my music style, but it grow very fast in me :).

Since I can’t comment, and you mentioned apple tree, I will put my comment here for her to see. I really love apple tree, not only because it’s unique sound, but mostly because I love the meaning. It’s written for someone like me, a gen z, “let her save the world, she is just a girl” is a reference to the fact that gen z and gen alpha is forced to save the world for all future generations. We cannot leave this earth for younger generations to deal with. They did nothing.

relating to your intro, I agree, I honestly think that ‘Wisdom Cries’ was just meant to be a sort of fine art, less for casual listening than artistry or being an element for the album’s concept

As a huge fan of Aurora I am happy that you liked the album. Btw, in the video you said many times that you like her vocals, which I think really sound super special. So, as for a person who likes singers with unusual manners of singing, I decided to recommend you to listen to Faouzia. She is a Canadian - Moroccan singer-songriter. Her vocals are just out of this world and she does the craziest riffs and runs I've ever heard. Her music is inspired by her multicultural background and sounds unique. She is also a good poet and every single song by her is a little story. If you are interested, you can check ", Bad Dreams", "Tears of Gold" or "Elon" (these are just personal favourites of mine, you can listen to any of her original songs or covers she's made. They are simply stunning). Btw, stripped versions are always better. Sorry for the long text. I just feelt that can help you discover a geat artist.

Great reaction as usual, thanks :) ... "Strange" album for me, as it contains 3 of my top songs (The river, Dance on the moon, and Daydreamer), but also the only 3 songs of all Aurora's songs that I find skippable, musically speaking (Animal, Hunger, and Apple tree). PS : for Soulless creatures, the lyrics are to be understood from the earth's perspective singing to us ;)

Apperantly there is another version of The RIver. The one we have on the album and the single is just a radio edit. Aurora wanted to release her "own version" on the album but we don't know if it was ever finished. Although I did hear her "own version" but it was just an instrumental. (I am not even 100% sure if it is real) The song we have was also has like an alternative tittle: The RIver Part 2. I hope one day we will be able to hear her "own version".
