The Betta aquarium has been running for a while now so it only seems fair to give you an update on this very simple aquarium setup. It has done really well and the plants and fish have settled in perfectly. This fish tank and it's design is so easily achievable by anyone and it makes keeping the aquarium clean that much easier.
The other part to this video is that I wanted to select a few Cichlids to grow up for a future project, these will act as a focal point for the Tetra aquarium I setup with ‪@MDFishTanks‬

Matt I literally considered 80% of the fish you showed today at the shop. Couldn't decide and settled on the candy stripped pleco at the back. Also, I absolutely love the pop up icon showing the fish names as you go around.

I also have a cockatoo cichlid couple in my aquarium (not a pair), i've chosen them because I got bad luck with Rams and Macmaseri, i hope to have more success with them, the male is a double red

Always love the insight of FS Matt but little Fish Shop Quinn stole the show. Personally, as much as I love a good build video, I love what I would call a tank profile even more: What plants are in it? What fish? Why'd you put in what you did? What do you feed them(how much and how often, maybe a nice feeding scene)? That sort of thing. Looking forward to seeing the new setups. Good luck!

Good update, I've been in Wigan Maidenhead aquatics today, buying up bits for my first tank, inspired mostly by yourself and MD. I'm looking at a 60litre cube to break in the Mrs to the idea, but I already have a spot in my computer room earmarked for a 3 foot tank and cabinet of some description. For now I'm sticking with tropical, it seems more aligned with the pond fish I've been keeping for ten years or so, though a friend/customer is pushing me to go saltwater. I guess we'll see about that in the future.

Hi Matt, nice additions! I've seen your group of cichlids in their wild habitat in "Cichlid River: Orinoco cichlids in nature (Satanoperca, Hypselecara, Cichla, Heros, Crenicichla etc)" movie of the "below water" youtube channel. I would post a link but I don't know your (or youtube) policy about links... Anyway, it is nice for your viewers to see how those cichlids are behaving in their natural environment... might spawn some clients for you. BTW, I still think your main aquarium deserves more color...
