Many people wonder how much further she would have gone in the music industry, but she seemed to be at the top of the tree in these years, before her versatility called for her to go into the acting industry. It's a pity many of todays generations haven't heard her sing, as she was a supreme vocalist, amongst about a half a dozen at the time.
@k.tinder89052 жыл бұрын
It's hers. I believe this kind of rendition of a song takes great amounts of raw emotion that is blatantly presented to us the audience. It must exhaust her to sing with such emotion, feeling and raw honesty. She is being honest on stage. Incredible. She as another post stated should be in the R&R Hall of Fame. I saw her in concert many years ago now, and will never forget her performance. What a singer, what a moxie lady, what a one of a kind out of the box performer. Her movies are grand, but it's her singing that moves people the most.

Stay with Me Lyrics: “Where did you go when things went wrong, baby? Who did you run to? Find a shoulder to lay your head upon Baby, wasn't I there? Didn't I take good care of you? But, oh, no. I can't believe you're leaving me, yeah Stay with me, baby I'm beggin' you to stay with me, baby Yeah, stay with me, baby I can't go on Who did you touch when you needed tenderness, baby? I gave you so much And in return I found happiness Baby, what could I do? Maybe I was too good, too good to you Ohh, I can't believe you're leavin' me Oh, oh, oh Oh, stay with me, baby Why don't you, why don't you just stay with me, baby? Yeah, stay with me, baby Remember, you said you always gonna love me Remember, you said you'd never ever leave me Remember, remember, I'm asking you, begging you Oh, oh, oh Oh, stay with me, baby, baby, baby Why don't you stay with me, baby? Stay with me, baby I can't, I can't go, oh, on "Well, I'm a young woman, and I could get plenty of men. But honey, keepin' 'em's the hard part, ain't it? Yeah. Sometimes, sometimes I find I try so hard." Maybe this time I should be the one to go away 'Cause honey, ain't it my turn to have somebody Grab hold of me and say "No! Don't go! You can't go!" Oh! Stay, stay with me, baby I'm begging you, stay with me Stay with me, baby I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, stay with me, baby Why don't you stay with me, baby? Whitney Housten is much better! She had the most feminine voice! Nasaline Dion had problems even in her prime with that nasal tone ( i've been to Celine's concert in her prime and she lip synced even in her prime)! Barbra Streisand has great technique and her voice is nothing special but Whitney 's voice is the best!

Raquel Altamirano Whitney Houston was one of the best. But Bette Midler is in a class of her own. Just WOW. This song is sung with all she has. Respect Bette Midler. You nail it every time. 💗
@fairemaiden5 жыл бұрын
Whitney Houston had a five-octave range, and the only one who possesses that same range is Mariah Carey. Both great 'singers'. Out of the two, Whitney is my favourite too. Celine Dion is also a 'singer' and, I agree, has a very nasally sound. However, she has recorded quite a few songs that I very much enjoy, (mostly from her 'Falling Into You' album). As to Bette Midler, she is a 'performer' who sings. Barbra Streisand is an 'actress' who sings. To compare all these women, as others have said, is to compare 'apples and oranges'. They have all stood the test of time and deserve their place in the halls of 'greatness'.
