I will show you in this tutorial how to play BeamNG Drive in Virtual reality without any mods and even without SteamVR.
You only need a Headset with OpenXR like every Meta/Oculus Headset.
i just see how much people are struggling to get beamng vr running good without any mods, or they just have bad performance in the vulkan launcher.
i will help you guys to get the best experience for this VR gameplay

Hoping this Tutorial will help some people to get the VR experience they want to have... If not dont worry, i still use the VR mod with VorpX and it has still the better performance (graphic and NPC stuff)

@@blurryplays unfortunately i didnt get it to run with the Quest 2 on a RTX2080Ti 32GB Ram and an intelcore i9 10th generation. But i believe it has to do with the fact thats its really early VR version and/or im a Monkey and didnt get it right. But stil nice vid and il be hanging around now for more 🤝 take care buddy ❤️👋

The DD1 and DD2 are not a downgrade, it would be an upgrade to gwt the clilubsport DD+ from a dd1 or dd2.. dd1 and dd+ are pretty much equal in power but it's the next gen 2.0 feedback that will make the new dd and dd+ better than the podium version

Clubsport DD is better than DD2 for better response and smoother forcefeeback. DD2 is only better on more nm torque

Some recommendations for those with issues using oculus - there is a debug tool in program files - oculus - support - diagnostics- Using this you can adjust ASW, and several other options to try to squeeze more performance out Also make sure in your graohics settings on your pc you turn off GPU Scheduling, this will almsot guaranteed give you a seberal FPS boost if it is disabled

You can't use VR controllers connect a PS4 controller or Xbox or even a Nintendo switch pro controller but you can't use VR controllers the only way to use them is to open doors

what BeamNG setting are you using? You can't play it with vr on High or Ultra

@@3000911 If you have an Oculus Headset check Devices > (Your Headset) > Graphics Preferences and ensure the resolution is set to auto. Do the same for Steam VR also (if youre using that)

@@blurryplays I figured it out. Thanks for the reply. It was my pc getting used to what I was doing I guess. Works great now. I have an MSI Katana with a 13th Gen i7 and a 4060 with 16 gb ram. Yes it's a laptop lol

Came back to try this again and nothing happens when I start it like just nothing loads game runs fine I have the specs to run it but nothing loads up when I start vr mode I have tried multiple different openxr option none work

I use airlink and connect to steamvr via it. It is really stuttery and I cannot drive or use my wheel at all

yea the gtx970 is way to old for BeamNG VR, this stuff goes full on GPU. I barely get 60fps with RTX2060

Hey uhhh this tutorial is nice and all but uhhh... *How the hell do i get OpenXR?* This tutorial is the same as a cooking tutorial on how to make a cheeseburger but they skip the part where you cook the patty, yeah you can guess and get the basic gist, but god help you if you don't know or understand.

You dont get OpenXR its a feature of your Headset. Which one do you have? Like i showed in the first minute how to activate it on Oculus 🤣

hmm i really dont get it my cpu is a little better but you schould get more then 7-9FPS. Maybe you have to much programs open when playing.

@@blurryplays ok so i updated my game and i launched it on the lowest preset and got a stable 72 fps until i messed around with the mesh quality since i didn’t like the pop in and it completed messed up my fps going back to 7 fps and i tried to change it back but nothing changed then i tried to change maps and then nothing changed i even tried to restart my game and nothing happened
