Teams tend to be much more diverse and if you lock in rammus early on in picks they're gonna go Viktor, swain, vayne etc then you're gonna have a hard time. At least appreciate the honesty of it, and appreciate that he makes it educational AND it's an actual game not a custom. There's plenty of ppl *cough* professor akali *cough* who just giga clickbait something stupid and then get their viewers to throw games for them to make the strat look op even if it's dogshit. At least Pekin has the balls to do some stupid shit and actually play a game with it and then tell us that it was complete smurfing unlike the soy pricks who genuinely try to use their fans to build up their fragile ego.

It's so disgusting, the fact that tanks can output that much damage while building 0 damage items is really unhealthy for game balance. The durability update put such a big emphasis on just building for health and tankiness that it makes burst builds/champs do nothing 99% of the time.

If tanks couldn't output damage, we'd have more situations like Rell where she's essentially useless beyond her CC, meaning for most of the time she has 0 kill pressure and is entirely reliant on the team to deal damage. Imagine if every tank was like that, we'd be back in a meta where running 5 DPS characters is better than running a tank in something other than support. This video is an extreme example, where every single carry role on the enemy team (not Nami) is countered by Rammus. Imagine if the enemy hadn't drafted full AD, and instead ran a Viktor mid, or Veigar ADC, or Lillia jungle, or Gwen top, or even Gangplank top (his barrels have built in % armor pen). That Thornmail wouldn't have done as much damage if Rammus was forced to back off. The damage would be more in line with the other carries on the team rather than Rammus snowballing beyond control. That being said, Thornmail does need a nerf imo. It's built on pretty much every tank because it usually hard counters at least one player on the enemy team.

@@fredxu99 the thing is that tanks are supposedly designed to deal zero to little damage, they're meant to engage, CC, be the frontline. Tanks dealing more damage than a carry/assassin with 0 AD or AP items built is completely ridiculous to me.

@@fredxu99 I agree that tanks shouldn't be dealing no damage whatsoever, but they shouldn't be dealing damage 'in line' with ADCs or mages, they should be dealing a decent amount less. The game is currently in a state where bruisers and tanks don't have to sacrifice damage to be tanky, they can do both. Now of course DPS champs can build tank items too, but a tanky ADC or mage isnt going to be as naturally tanky as a bruiser or tank is, their kits just aren't built for it, and they're not gonna be able to deal the damage they need to to be useful for the team because they have no damage items. Tanks and front lines are designed to be at the front, that's why their kits give them the tools to control enemies and survive damage; they take the hits and peel aggro off the DPS so they can deal damage. I know it's league of legends, but it's still a *team game* and people having different roles means they're gonna be tasked with doing different things, and they're gonna rely on their teammates to do the things they're not good at.

Yeah the CDR and high Armor are good, but the Attack Speed slow actually hurts because them attacking you less means you deal less damage

i didnt know for sure but ithought so as well cos the attack speed slow makes them hit themself less

oh and aphelios red gun abilty is also a set attack rate but is still autos. and ww q heals based on damage dealt which is reduced by aura. it also helps negate some of nami's empower IF they dont use it on abilities since she empowers the next 3 attacks or abilities....so that ones niche. helps with yas qs as well since itll increase the cooldown and reduce q damage. ik im being nitpicky but its fun

This is debatable. Most tanks have very poor wave clear and really need the waves pushed or they are just farming under their towerwith a bramble vest.

Bramble actually gives rammus more wave clear as well as long as you get the minions to auto you.

I can agree that procing the passive is nice but i disagree for many reasons. Yasuo's lifesteal will come mostly from hitting the wave not you. He's most likely getting early boots since it's essential for yasuo as a tank you can get you entire mythic when yasuo would be on something like boots+quiver. This will be your strongest point in the game vs him delaying that by 800 gold to proc his passive is not worth it waveclear is also something to factor
