I just have to say this Dr. Dray, I picked up all the products you recommend. I got the Panoxyl, the Neutrogena Pore mask , the SA Cleanser from CeraVe, and I got the moisture from Neutrogena . Plus the AcneFree sulfur mask. It hasn't been exactly a week yet and my pores have been less visible and there's a tremendous change, my skin is smoother, cleaner, and it gets less oily. Dr. I like to go to gym during lunch break, I am very acne prone currently using 0.025 % retin a and about to start either aczone or benzaclin. I have heard that I have to wash my face after gym but I go to the gym during my lunch break. Would you suggest, applying the whole routine (aczone or benzaclin) in the am, wash my face after gym and apply aczone again? Thank you.

Can someone please help? I'm really confused...overwhelmed with where to start! I've been getting a few pimples that have spread..should I start using benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment? After moisturizing? I use the wet face technique when applying a moisturizer:) I'm 30, have a basic skincare routine, I do have olive skin...so usually pimple leave a red/brownish mark afterwards, I do use SPF. TIA

Hi Dr Dray, my current routine consists of washing my face, applying moisturizer, and waiting for it to dry. Then I apply differin gel, wait for it to dry then I have recently been applying 10% BP on my entire face lightly, leaving it on overnight. Is this routine good? It really seems to be helping my acne but the BP is really drying my skin out, and my forehead is getting more oily throughout the day, any suggestions? Maybe only use 2.5% overnight instead of 10%? Thanks :)

This may personal but I don't think it it is. A had a severe acne break out and my doctor prescribed me Benzoyl peroxide for my acne and just now I not only see better progress of my severe acne breakout I also found skin coming of from my feet. Then I find out that benzoyl also does something for dead skin and not just acne.

I want to incorporate Benzoyl Peroxide in my skincare routine, for short, my skin is new to Benzoyl Peroxide. Sadly in my place, there's no BP 2.5% Face Wash which I'd like to get as my weekly leave-on treatment or my every-other-day face wash. There's only BP 2.5% Gel and BP 5% Face Wash available in my place, which one do you think is milder for my skin? You said that if we're new to Benzoyl Peroxide, face wash are less irritating than leave-on gels. I'm thinking of using the BP 2.5% Gel as a leave-on treatment for 5 minutes then wiping it off then proceed with my mild face wash. Or should I just get the BP 5% face wash? ☺

Hey Dr Dray. I'm new to your videos and struggling because I have an oily T-Zone and large notable pores on my nose that I am very self conscience about. My cheeks are more prone to dryness so the combination skin thing has me confused. I was considering getting the Zapzyt for use on my nose? But I don't want to cause higher oil production because of using drying products. Can you give me some guidance on how to handle my nose and forehead and deal with large noticeable pores on my nose (I have them under my eyes as well). I know that's a loaded question but I'm at a loss as to what to do and the last dermatologist I saw in person brushed my concerns off.

From watching your other videos, I've noticed that you use BP by rubbing it into your entire face. If I were to use it on select, inflamed pimples, would it be better to dab it onto the pimple without rubbing it in and leave it on the whole night (i.e. white spot on top of the pimple) or would it be better to rub the BP into the pimple in tiny circles until the white ointment disappears? I've started using the panoxyl 4% for the first time. It's been two weeks of using the wash every other day, I've noticed that I am getting acne flares on opposite cheek that wasn't there before. Does this wash make it worse before it gets better or is it making me breakout? Basic routine- neutragena gentle cleanser, cetiphil moisturizer. Sunprise etude Spf.

I love BP. When my face hurts because of breakouts and I put it on, Its an instant thank you. I mean It helps the pain. I'm tempted to just slap a ton on. When I do that my skin gets irritated though XD

Benzoyl peroxide is the only thing that reduces my acne. Salicylic, sulfur, retinoids, AHA's, etc all do nothing, so I assume this indicates my acne is more bacterial in nature. Other than antibiotics are there any other treatments have a proven anti-bacterial effect? I would love an alternative that has similar anti-bacterial but doesn't bleach for when I wear more expensive clothes. I sweat a lot and one bead of sweat with a tiny bit of leftover BP on a hot day can ruin an expensive outfit. :(

I want to know how to get off of benzoyl peroxide safely without breaking out. I want to switch a natural skin care routine.
