Today I open up a Monastrell, more commonly known as Mourvedre, from the Jumilla in Spain. This Juan Gil Jumilla Silver Label is one of my favorite value buys and a crowd pleaser red wine. Great as a Cabernet Sauvignon alternative.

You’re spot on! I have a case of this on the rack along with: Lo Nuevo Southern Belle Jumilla Red Blend as my alternates to Cabs as well. Great value

Am there with you, Bordeaux continues to offer lots of value. The problem for most folks to get into Bordeaux is it is hard to zero in on good wines without doing some research.
