just another creator totally willing to waste his viewers time, such a horrible trend on YT right now. shame really, he's got 90% of the work done and doesn't even take to the time to screen cap some specs or something 🤦‍♂

I'm getting DJI mic because it comes with adapter for phones. Who likes dangling cable and receiver when filming with phone?

The audio sounds rather flat and tinny. I was wondering from the start of the video and disappointed when you said it was the audio from these mics. I clicked this video hoping for a sound comparison against the DJI and we never got that so we really have no context to go against.

I agree. Not only is the Lark Max a 99% copy of the DJI Mic hiding behind “we have longer battery life, noise cancellation and a cheaper price,” it sounded like it came from inside a can. Defeated his argument about the importance of having great audio. Treble is high, it hurts the ear, and it sounded really unnatural. If I have to choose between DJI Mic and the Lark Max, this review helped me decide unanimously in favor of DJI.

@@xenoyn DJI has great sound quality, I've read a lot of reviews of reception issues and interference though which is a bit disappointing because I'd 100% have gone with the DJI mic otherwise. Weirdly enough after checking out other reviews the Lark seems to be overly bassy which is the complete opposite of this guy's review. Might just go with the DJI instead of this more obscure brand and hope it's alright, the DJI warranty is usually pretty good.

@@karlfriedrich7758Shure MVL lav and the cheap pop voice lavs work great with the DJI mic, no interference at all. I prefer the sound of the internal recording using just the DJI mic the best though, of which I love about it. It auto records everything, so zero worries. I use at as my backup in case my main mic gets weird on me, it's a solid bit of equipment.

I bought it and returned the Max. Worked great the first time I used it. A few days later I tried to use it and TX and RX would not pair up. I can't have a mic that doesn't work all the time . I will be getting the DJI system.

Is the TX a standalone recorder? I heard it has 8gb built-in memory in case it gets cut off from the RX it will still record and you can plug into your PC and download the audio. If true this is a really sweet feature. Can you confirm?

Nice review, man! I've used the DJI system quite a bit and don't have much to complain about, really. Which system would you say you like better? How about build quality differences? I feel like the DJI mics are pretty tankish lol

These have a similar tankish feel. Super well made. I think these sound a bit better than DJI. I’d say if you already have DJI you are totally fine. If you don’t have either these may be the way to go.

Auto record enables both transmit and record to internal memory.

Would be more interesting if these were much cheaper but they're around the same price and roughly the same features as the DJI... Seems like an easy choice...

@@kenyakkingdebatable. Within the video, transmitters space hollyland is pretty well known. Which is usually the demographic that would want to buy mics like these

If this is recorded with the Lark Max then I dont want it, sounds really thin 's' sounds are awful too. I have the much cheaper Synco G2 and they have a better sound than this although they dont have all the other fancy features, but at the end of the day when watching an interview you are not interested in the other features, just the sound quality of the video.
