It's a bold claim, but I think it's one I'm willing to make. The Lemmon Drop might be my favorite backcountry bike trail in the US. Admittedly, I haven't explored enough. But that's why Anna and I are traveling in the van: to hit up the best mtb destinations in the country.
So please, if you have any suggestions, leave em in the comment section below.

Curious! What time in the morning did you start? Trying to get a feel for how long it will take. I just did the whole enchilada 2 weeks ago. So it will be cool to compare the 2 trails.

I believe we picked the 9am shuttle. Of course, that meant we weren't riding until about 10:45. According to my Strava, our total elapsed time was 6:49:00. But we took our time, and dealt with a flat. Still, it was a long time to be out there! If you watch the final descent down La Milagrosa, you can see we made it just as the sun was setting!

New found love for 29er?? Preferring the fuel over the remedy now? This and enchilada are both a bucket list ride for me.

The Remedy is a great bike for sure. But the new Fuel feels like the obvious progression for that line. I'm definitely happy with this bike. But, I needed to scratch that 29er itch. If you don't have it, and can put in the extra effort on the climbs, the Remedy has staying power.

I've ridden both, yes it's good...but def not as good as the whole Enchilada.

@@DustyTrailsMTB it’s longer, more diverse trail, from woods to red rock, I will admit mt Lemmon is probably easier to get to. It just felt more fun. I started at those stairs and ended up in town where homegrown picked me up. Super long ride down the road. I forgot the miles but whole Enchilada is over 25 miles of pure trail/double track. More variety of trails nearby. The views are epic in Moab, yes Tucson is beautiful to but not sure on same level.

@@DustyTrailsMTB all good, it was all me. i took the Lemmon drop, i just hated the fact that there was zero flow between sections, doing it by yourself for the first time requires slow going, lots of hike a bike. Beautiful local though.

@xrstopherpopp120 yeah, I wouldn't want to go by myself! It's full on out there. It's an adventure ride, for sure. Nothing comes for free out there! But if you have other recommendations for the area, I'm open!
