Better than Walker Razor or Leight? OPSMEN Earmor M31

Are Opsmen Earmor M31 better than Howard Leights and Walker Razor electronic noise-canceling headphones? The M31 has some of the best features of the two most popular brands of hearing protectors but the earpads are too soft and thin, leading to discomfort. The M31s was supplied by Opsmen and Evike.com for this review and I've let them both know about my issues. I'm hoping they make thicker earpads soon.

Thanks for the review. It is more clear for me now what I will buy in the near future because my original idea was buy the Razor Walker's. I am currently play airsoft so I need the model with the mic (Earmor M32 MOD1). Also I am doing some IPSC shooting and this model works fine for the noise reduction. Thanks!

Thanks. I hope you subscribed. I've bought the Rangeguard, 100's and 300's a few years ago and returned them. Not enough volume boost to wear foam plugs under them for indoor use. I haven't tested the 500's or Comtacs but those outside my budget.

The version with the helmet mount unfortunately sit way too low on my bump helmet, I'd recommend aftermarket mounts for helmet use. Otherwise the ear pro works great

I like the sound pass-through better on the Howard Leight for range noise. But for AUX sound the Opsmen sounds better and sits better for shooting with a rifle. Overall comfort, the Opsman tends to pinch the tips of my ears.

@@alexicat3805 They're about the same in terms of that aspect. Both are stereo so you can identify the direction of sound. Howard Leights have a wider range of adjustment on volume by a dial. The Opsman only has 4 volume settings using Low and High buttons.

Is there a microphone in them In order to use them for radio etc etc?

They do have a mic model that's NATO compatible.

For future reference , headset means a headphone with built in microphone, while headphones simply dont have mics, hope this helps

NiMH cells are 1.3v average output (2 cells =2.6v) . Alkaline and Lithium batteries have a 1.5v output (2 cells = 3v). Some of my NiMH cells will work but most of my NiMH cells won't power it up.

Yes I am. The Earmor's aren't super comfortable for gaming vs. a normal gaming headset because they do clamp down rather tightly (at least my head). They need to, to protect your hearing form gun shots. That's not a problem playing games (unless your neighborhood is really dangerous)

@@MoondogIndustries Well my neighborhood is pretty peaceful, never seen fights around in my life living here, I’d personally not use the headset for games of course but I’ll use it for youtube and shooting. Edit: I’m planning on saving a bit more for the jelly earpads, hoepfully it’d be worth it

Bought these and just tested earlier today. These do NOT block sound. Both Amazon and Evike state these are Airsoft only.

@@TargetAcquisition They certainly block sound, this video is literally proof of that. Maybe you picked up a defective pair, didn't seat them right, or you're just talking out of your ass

@@TargetAcquisition they are NRR22 rated and absolutely do work as hearing protection! Opsmen /Earmor has now a new military / law enforcement grade Versions of the hearing protection. Its called M31 /M32 mark 3 and they come in multiple ways. 2types of helmet Attachments, dualcom, single com, Neck Band, etc. The Mark 3 Versions are much more expensive and Cost about 300€/$/£.
