Mama Betty carried her wounds with so much grace. I hope that after her loss in 1965, she had moments of joy, and happiness. She is right, Al Hajj Malik El Shabazz ( Malcolm X) was a man of peace, a man of justice. When Hinton Johnson was injured 27 April 1957, Brother Malcolm did not advocate violence, instead he mediated his release from the police precinct and made sure he was taken to hospital to receive the medical care he needed, and then he made sure that brother Hinton took the NYPD to court.. An all-white jury awarded $70,000 to him; which was at the time, the largest police brutality settlement in New York City. Indeed, Malcolm X was a man who understood JUSTICE.
