A home in the Beverly Crest neighborhood of Beverly Hills has been taken over by squatters, but was recently raided by police after a burglary call. In todays episode we dive into the story about the squatters, and then look at the dark past of the former owner of this mansion.

I wonder if the squatters worked in Real Estate. It seems like they were smart enough to search for long abandoned homes. The murky ownership chain is the main reason why they got away with it for so long.

I was hired as a photographer for the parties.. Had no idea they were squatting.. Celebs were showing up. They were charging guys $100 to enter.. Or if you brought 3 girls with you, then you could get in for free.. It's like they turned both the upstairs & downstairs living rooms into a dance rave club, with lighting effects and mini bars. The house would be packed at 4am.. Trying to leave or catch an Uber was a headache, parked cars piled up & down the road.. It was insane !!

How do we fix this squatters rights issue in California and Los Angeles county? It took a friend of mine, three years and $100,000 to remove someone from their property who wasn’t paying rent.

Because in Commiefornia, tennants have rights, squatters don’t. And the tenants use that to abuse the system. Once you get everything done in your paperwork, it may take 3 to 6 months even to get in to the court to get the evictions through. I sold all of my property in California and I will never own another rental property in the state.

So many doctors let their PA’s do procedures on patients out here…. There’s some crazy legal clause in CA that protects doctors /medical facilities by limiting their out of pocket financial liability to $15-20k for elective procedures

It hasn’t been marked down. They don’t know how to read Zillow. If you went on Zillow today, it shows it’s estimated value is $3,870,000. It was auctioned off for $5.1 million back in November. Pop wire still has the old owner listed. By the way, did you say you got a big shout out from Graham Stephan today . @@Real.Estate.Report

It's not in the City of Beverly Hills, it's in LA City in what's called Beverly Hills Post Office. I know it's a little confusing.

I normally would never have listened to this type of news but there's been so much in the news about squatters rights that I thought I would take a listen and I thought you did a fantastic job of being incredibly thorough. A problem will be with the DA. We must elect a different person for Los Angeles because the guy is horrible and could care less about these issues. This squatter only has to take the simple remedies halfway and that has delayed the whole process and reset the clock to start all over again so if the owner gets past the first two hurdles but the squatter runs into court at the third hurdle and produces some type of paperwork that commences some of the most lenient judges in the country which operate right here in sunny Los Angeles then the whole process begins again and it delays and begins. You get the picture. As far as the murder I think that the Los Angeles Police Department should probably be doing a better job of investigating this but again the issue of ownership of the house is probably complicated the investigation greatly and I would hope that the father of the victim would be pursuing Justice to that end. But I found it very interesting and informative and as a lifelong angeleno very sad as I watch my city just turn into a crazy woke dump.

WOW!! Wasn't prepared for a Dateline episode. It's not easy to get squatters out. Especially with the courts being so slow to act. At least they are gone. Who pays for the clean up and disinfecting? Cautionary tale for realtors, don't advertise properties as vacant or even better hire property managers to live there with security in place.

@@MrMegacurie They did because the neighbors kept calling the cops on them and some other people that used to party there ended up squatting there after. But from what his report says shows it looks like the Nelk boys were squatting there this whole time lmao.

Yes they would be the owners but based on the chain I followed the lender changed hands a few times due to bankruptcy. Not unusual amongst banks to move around ‘bad debt’ but makes it harder to follow

Found a place there for under $2M. Still too much for me but he said it’s the place inside the already exclusive high end neighborhood. Doesn’t help that I want a couple homes worth $20-$80 mill around the world. 😂😭

You need maintenance private security. Also, what else is new with fraudsters both the owner and squatters. Beverly Hills is overrated nowadays. My cousins still own properties there, both Trousdale Estates and the flats, but most homes are dated…..CA is in the dumpsters……They are gonna have a hard time uploading….

From clout chasers, fakes, gold diggers, older men dating barley of age women, gross but also, I’d like to live there but imo, influencers ruined it to the point homeless people wised up & I feel like every other block ima see fake outrage & ppl talking to a camera or doing a tiky tok “dance”
