They made the decision together, that she was gonna talk about the affair on that album. She wouldn’t have went that hard without his approval. They waited until all of their issues were resolved, before releasing it. Beyoncé lets the audience into her business AFTER the fact, not in the middle of a situation or crisis; she’s smart like that. She uses old drama to express herself, while making fans feel like they’re getting exclusive insight into her life. It sells her records, and allows her fans to feel connected at the same time. :)

Overall the whole of Lemonade is full of different influences and you should really check out each individual song along with the poems for each as they play a huge part of the fluidity of the songs and transitions between the emotions.
