I would have NEVER imagined Beyoncé opening a world tour to Dangerously In Love. This was so beautifully done and a sentimental way to show love to the fans.

@@Tristan11406 Yeah! Or maybe "Break My Soul" or even "I'm That Girl" but definitely not "Dangerously In Love"... That was a choice 🤷‍♂️ And it actually left room for the upbeat tracks in the setlist

I literally started crying. Such a beautiful and sweet way to start the tour. I'm sure she chose this to show love to her fans. I expected her to open with something dramatic and big. I'm so glad she did this

The whole point of her opening with Dangerously in Love, is the fact that whole internet speculated who is going to be opening act for Beyonce... Until today we didn't know. People that arrived at the arena today got their entry bracelets, gift bags and what not, and in some of the posters of tourbook it was written that Beyonce is opening for Beyonce. So she literally opened up tour for herself, normally, just elevator bringing her to stage and clouds in the background while she's serenading the crown with her love oldschool songs and giving "thanks" to her fans for always sticking with her by saying those opening words "i love you, i love youuuuu". Then she disappeared, crazy intro happened and she arrived like a boss ass bi*** that she is and always has been!!!

I was expecting a little bit more from both Beyoncé and Taylor Swift tours. Both are doing the basics only. You don’t build a huge stage to make a basic elevator entrance like this. They should learn with Madonna.

I felt the same way about TS and Janet so I hear where you are coming from. Even Mariah, and Justin are very basic, it seems all of these artist are toning down while the ticket prices are toning way up!

I love Beyoncé, but expected a bigger intro too! Madonna is the Queen of entrances. Can't wait for the celebration tour, it promises to be spectacular.

What an anti climactic start OMG the biggest star in the world. Probably got one of the biggest budgets in the world, and all she does is Singer Ballard and has a lift that just pulls out the bottom of the stage she’s done this opening so many times come on Beyoncé all these artists are becoming so lazy it’s all same same

Lol, this was a concept. She is the opening act for herself. The real intro to the tour starts with I'm That Girl. But u probably wouldn't understand that... So go on

There's no LAW that says intros have to be upbeat or climactic. This was quite possibly not only a tribute to her fans but also a tribute to her childhood before fame along with her career as a whole.

Then you realize that instead of having opening acts, Beyoncé was the opening act of her own show as shown in this video. The actual introduction and start of the Renaissance tour featured futuristic and revolutionary visuals and she came out of a robot. 😭
