I think it's rather giving the community and the "House" component of House and Voguing the respect it deserves. Your House was your home because so many were disowned from their families. You actually can't separate these histories, that deadly epidemic meant that the community needed each other more than ever and they really stepped up for each other like a family. And simultaneously, they needed the joy, pride, dignity and community to be able to emerge from the grief. That's one of the things that came out of it, this beautiful ballroom culture.

Not them highlighting a white ballroom dancer. I know she’s the most popular but ballroom started with black people. They should of highlighted someone black but you know what I blame the black ballroom scene for this because y’all let any and everyone come on me steal y’all light and shine more than you. So much so that half the country don’t even know that ballroom started with black people.

@Deslock-es3rb Lies. He's not a trick, He's not a genie. Some things He will not do, some things He can not do, some things can't be undone, and some things are for the greater good. One thing He promises is that the storms will come, but He will be with us through them all. So, He didn't say the storms wouldn't come, He didn't say that He would rescue us from them all... Period! You don't know better than Him, nor can you assume He will do what YOU want to do when HE is God. Sounds like you NEVER knew Him, and you think you know better than Him. You can't even get yourself out of whatever it was, but HE CREATED EVERTHING, yet you think YOU can dictate or determine what HE should and could've done. THIS IS HIS HOUSE - CHECK YOURSELF, AND THANK HIM FOR NOT THROWING YOU IN THE PIT YET. The nerve. The fact that you're here IS A GIFT, THE FACT THAT YOU'RE BREATHING, IS A GIFT. HUMBLE YASELF. Immature, selfish, and sounding like a CHILD who didn't get their way and now you're mad. Don't cut off your nose to spite your face. He still makes sure you have a reason to smile, He ALLOWS you to have what you have, cause He could take it away at any moment. You don't know what love is - nor can you redefine it. We may not always agree with or like what happens in our lives but emotional maturity and just being an adult.. We more things won't always go our way. He showed up and helped plenty of other times, but you forgot about that. He gave you things you didn't deserve, but you forgot about that. Of course you would. Your job, family, mates, and friends have probably amassing you at times in different ways, but you didn't stop dealing with or loving them. You'll have a mate or children (God willing) that may blame you for things, but you give them the space and freedom to get over themselves and grow up so they can see the truth of the matter. He's patient and loving, but don't get it twisted... He IS the ALMIGHTY GOD, AND HE STILL LOVES YOU REGARDLESS OF HOW HE FEELS. He also doesn't mince His words.. He said He places before you blessings and curses, life or death. Then, because He's a loving God He gives you the answer... He says, CHOOSE LIFE! I pray you find out in time why things had to happen how they did, and I pray you come to repentance, change your ways, and return to Him. God bless you
