Spaceman by Babylon Zoo!? That song was played at high school parties in the nineties, hit me right in the nostalgia feels. I'm unironically impressed that an indie studio managed to track down and purchase the license!

My introduction to them was on a Mortal Kombat Cd soundtrack. I had bought the wrong one as the cd mostly contained a bunch of random songs and almost none from the movie. However, it became my favorite cd to listen too 😂. Spaceman of course being my number one.

Its like a colorful and energetic "Out of this World", with a Synth Wave meets Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy vibe. I'm in to it. Color me intrigued.

This game would be right up my alley if not for this loud, garish, irony soaked trailer. It's starting to become really difficult to look past an unappealing presentation to enjoy a game's actual gameplay. You can create something inspired by the entertainment media you enjoyed in your youth without underlining, italicizing, and highlighting the sources in all caps and bold. How do you grow up with an appreciation for games like Prince of Persia, Another World, Flashback, and Blackthorne without realizing that less is more? A largr part of the reason Another World in particular stood out among its peers was because it had a quiet dignity about it most games didn't. It stands today with a sort of timelessness. This, by comparison, looks like it can't stop telling you how "rad" it is and it very clearly a product of a time in which creators are chasing the glories of another.
