As a frequent traveler on government buses in Nagaland and a middle-class citizen, I find buses to be the most economical option. However, the experience can be quite unpleasant due to the unclean seats and the inability to properly close the windows, which allows significant dust to enter. Nowadays local taxi from Kohima to Dimapur run so fast especially the ecco vehicles. They don't care about the life of the passengers, i had an experience when i reach Kohima from Dimapur in less than an hour😅... It's better to travel in Nst bus for safety

Nagaland government needs to focus on NST services connecting all district headquarters. So that all the passengers will prefer NST services instead of Private Buses. And that's how government earn huge revenue.

Nagaland Govt. Should buy electric city bus with AC fitted for passengers ,which will result in pleasant ride for all passengers, driver and handyman/conducter. NST should co-ordinate with Assam State transport corporation ( Guwahati) for purchase. No fuel, only electricity. Cheap price, memorable ride.

My God last winter I went to Kiphire from NST and reached Dimapur to Kiphire without changing any position which is the worst travel in my entire life.... Also some passengers we're drinking alcohol and they're so drunk that they were sleeping in the pathway exactly like 🐖🐖...very disgusting.

Charging little is ok. Other states too charge for using toilet. Upgrading should be considered with less charges

Though this wasn't mentioned, I really want to say that NST CITY BUS is one of the best thing happened. The fare difference from auto is vast and bus is more comfortable. And totally agreed on free usage of public toilets. The way it was said about money being taken to use the 🚽, shouldn't it be used for maintenance? Poisa toh kot jai ase naaa... High time for development everywhere.

Charges for toilet is a must. Incase it becomes free, I'm 100% sure there'll be no one to take care if it. By collecting nominal fee, they're atleast maintaining the toilets. Apart from toilet, it's high time for the authorities to renovate the office building , restroom, cloakroom and even maintain the condition of the bus.

he government should at least provide one NST bus to traverse between Kohima and Tuensang. We also should be given the opportunity to travel in affordable transports.

The problem is with the public… until and unless we chose to maintain and care for the govt facilities like ours it’s of no use govt giving this and that facility. Regarding the wash room , free use of toilet should be given to person who produces nst ticket else if it’s given free to whole public then it will be stupidy.

Every state should be maintained neat and clean also developed well ...kohima and dimapur every government properties are treated badly by every pupil so every individual should take good care of it like its our own ...Also who is the owner of those toilets ? Why they are charging money for using public toilets ..This should be inquiry as soon as possible

Sir, please raise your voice to make hotel NST in Mkg as well because in Mkg the price of private hotels or rooms are so costly. So for tourist or for our own Naga people those who don't have relatives or friends in Mkg, it is very difficult to accommodate the sleeping room in private hotel especially for those coming for/ to visit from other district of Nagaland.

As far as my little knowledge is concerned, NST is a revenue earning department so there shouldn't be any lack of development or upgradation in the department, the concerned station officers should also be stationed in their respective posting place and oversee the overall operations of every station, also agree to some comments above that the public should have the sense of responsibility in keeping the stations and buses clean. Hope this coverage by #GlobalWindow will definitely escalate the grievances of the passengers to the concerned bosses of the department. If they turn blind eye towards this most needed issue, they better put down their papers and give chance to young and dynamic officers after them.

I had been a NST bus passenger throughout my single life but now as time went by and due to busy tight schedules I could no longer board a bus 🚍.Nevertheless, I would advise beloved citizens to opt for public transport for safety, convenience n economy. Oko please try to explore the DMC toilet in the town area it's too dirty even though the public is also not maintaining hygiene and also the same as a caretaker of the toilet they're charging but not cleaning at the right time.Very unhygienic is going on all over the town area

Lol...but they all leave you like halfway in the middle of no where...i once walked from ISBT(which is currently both bus and taxi station to and from dimapur) to Kohina town...very inconvenient when you reach too early or too late...

One good thing is that the old nst night service driver are so good an humble but the new drivers of nst are huisha Avery stop ekta kotor Avery stop even the bus conductor are heavy alcoholic don't play with the people lifes an yours the concern authority should look into this matter an should not gives service to those drivers who drink an drive specially night service 😊

When i was young my father took me to that old NST station.. i went for urine there and now im already 35 and i have kids now .. but still the urine is same as it is even after so many years... forget about the tax ...but i wish there was some improvement in the infrastructure and if the govt cant even do that ...atleast keep it clean since public are paying...
