BFS Fishing on the local canal - looking for anything apart from pike, but finding pike

Another quick(ish) session with the BFS gear. Started with the fluorocarbon and ultra light lures, looking for anything that wasn’t Pike shaped.
I did get a couple of perch, but mostly Pike.
Next video I’ll be aiming to test a batch of budget lures, see how we get on with those.

Nice session, mate. If you want to catch some perch, go for cheb rigged TPR lures ( tanta, polaris, crays, etc.). TPR and TPE lures are floating, and if you keep them on the bottom, they are staying in a vertical position. Perch is mad at the moment on canal. 1 gram cheb you can cast easily with your Alde, and you don't need Avail or Roro spool.

I ended up with 2 nice ish perch a wasp 2 roach abs s baby bream was hard work though

Another great session. Where you ended the video if you’ve ever looked over to where the stream comes under the canal it contains quite a few trout in there. It’s awkward to fish but I challenge you to catch one 🎣

Hi, I know exactly where you mean. I’ve had one trout from there on a worm Lure. It took ages and they spooked very quickly 😁
