I’ve been on the fence playing Baldurs Gate because it’s a cRPG genre which wasn’t really for me. But holy moly am I addicted to this game! I’m officially part of the baldurs gate fandom

Taking many notes. Every time I thing I'm done with BG3. I get that urge to play it again :)

300 hours in and haven’t even finished honor mode.

Good takes. I would put Witch Bolt in A tier if you build for it. It does chew up your concentration, which is a problem. But it upcasts at 1d12 per level. And, since it’s a to hit roll, it becomes potentially the most damaging single target spell in the game. Upcast it to level six, for 6d12 base, plus potential doubling for a crit, plus potentially doubling for the Wet condition, plus potential max damage if you take two levels of tempest cleric. You can reasonably expect 72 damage if you max it, 144 against wet targets, and occasionally 288 with a crit. You can even twin cast it maxed. Basically, it’s a heavy hitter for the right build.

i dont think find familiar is that bad its basically tanking a free hit every fight due to it being a ritual summon ofc its not s tier but i use it overr most b tier and some a tier spells
