what are you talking about? BHA is regularly available from Midway USA. In fact, there is very little of it they list as backorder. Most says "available". As for your second point, it's a little more valid. But I guess they figure you know what you're looking for. After all, if you're willing to pay their higher prices, maybe the expect you know what to look for. You probably should know what kind of energy or mv you're looking for. You probably should know if you want FMJ or HP. They tell you one type of bullet is the Barnes Tac XP so look up the Barnes bullet. It might be a disservice to them to tell you what they think it should be used for because it might bias you away from your application they didn't consider. Also, it's not very PC to say "for shooting MFers trying to rob your house at 2:30 in the morning" or "for when the police and guard aren't doing their job during the next Ferguson riots and your business is being destroyed".

David Dunlap They're pretty well advertised in a very niche market. If you watch any of that show with Kyle Lamb on one of the outdoor channels, I think they have a few boxes of it on their table when demoing guns. I think they're also pretty well known in the upper end of sport shooting. Pretty much anyone in that market knows their brand well. I might be wrong but I think 3-gun phenom Daniel Horner said he uses it. Of course, if BHA supplies the military and DH is a USAMU shooter, then that might be how he gets it. They have a good reputation, but they don't just give it away. It's like DoubleTap ammo. Ever heard of that? If you shoot 10mm you have. They've since expanded to many calibers and loads, but they made their mark in 10mm +P. Who the hell even shoots 10mm? Apparently enough people to make them a successful business. Also, as a follow up for the original comment about "what it's used for", it doesn't appear that most of these kinds of companies do that. LAX, Freedom, BHA, etc pretty much tell you "new/reman" "caliber" "grain" and maybe "fps". some will tell you muzzle energy too. and "bullet type" (FMJ, TMJ, HP, ...). Other than loads that are designed for a specific purpose (HogHammer by Remington, Horandy Critical Defense, etc), I don't think you have too much "here's what to use this on" labeling.
