This is a vlog about my visit to River tern Jungle lodges, near lakavalli and also a safari into Bhadra tiger reserve. River Tern Lodge gets its name from the nearby island that attracts hundreds of river terns during the breeding season. It is located on a hillock on the edge of the Bhadra reservoir, near Lakkavali: a stone’s throw away from the northern boundary of the Bhadra Tiger Reserve, in the Chikmaglur district.

Nice video and narration. I have some queries. 1. You seems to have done done some night sky and star photography. Was it from the room balcony? What was your focal length? 2. There seems to be not many river terns in this video. Am I right? When you went? I am coming in 1st week of may. Hence, the question. 3. Is it possible to do use bean bag / tripod / monopod in the boat?

Thanks. 1. Yes from room balcony. Used action camera 16mm. 2. River terns are maximum during May, so good luck. I went in Feb. 3. Beanbag wouldn't be possible, monopod is ideal, again since sightings happen all over the place, need to use handheld most of the time.

Nice place Shreyas!how far is this place from BLr,hv to make a trip one day bro,wish u would hv sighted a few tusker 's.I advise u to take a jeep in such roads.

Hi - Any idea if the safari zone is same from Lakkavalli and Muthodi? btwn the smaller predatory bird is Kestrel (f).
