7 жыл бұрынThe "Sweni Mega Pride" of lions on the road are all juveniles. I have counted seventeen. There were at least eight adults off the road in the bush. The Pride entertained us for about an hour, and all the lions disappeared in the bush. Filmed at the intersection of the H1-3 and the S126 close to Satara and Sweni Water Hole in Kruger National Park on November 25, 2016.

No,never mistake lions with that of tigers.Tigers straight away attack and drag you out but that's not the case with the lions.They never attack human beings unles s until they see danger or threat to them or to their offsprings.Never go too near to these lions and their pride.They don't like some stranger coming too near to them or cross them.

The female lions will attack all of a sudden and grab their catch like they do deer. ThMk yoi for your acknowledgement of natural selection in more than one way. Opening that window to take photos is a huge mistake! It takes a second for them to spring and drag you out the window. It’s happened before. These are not pets these wild animals. You should never open your window near wild animals.

I’ve had many safaris in the Kruger park but we were always mindful and respected the animals, and never tried to be like that guy with a tiny car, leaving his window open to take a pic! We once had a herd of elephants so up close, , touching our car with his trunk, which was beautiful but at the same time also scary! Such gracious animals!

It's my understanding that lions are very,very quick and have great leaping abilities. I think I can imagine a scenario in which someone in one of those cars is eating a roast beef sandwich...with the window open...and a lioness,with her amazing sense of smell,gets a whiff of it and *boom* she's half way through the open window thinking there's a dead impala in there. Of course I could be wrong! :-)
