IMCW presents Bhante Buddharakkhita, with hosts Ofosu Jones-Quartey and Satyani McPherson
Enjoy this special event - a candid conversation with Bhante Buddharakkhita, founder of the Uganda Buddhist Centre (UBC). Together with his IMCW teacher-friends Satyani McPherson and Ofosu Jones-Quartey, they will discuss Bhante's early background and path to Buddhist ordination, how he came to open the UBC (the first Buddhist center in Uganda), and the unique ways Buddhism is growing in Africa and throughout the African diaspora. A central theme in this conversation is sure to be the ways in which this practice helps to heal trauma and cultivate compassion.
This event is offered by donation, and proceeds will help Bhante B. and the Uganda Buddhist Centre to serve the growing number of people seeking the Dharma.
Many thanks to Bhante for joining us for this event! Check out the UBC websitevfor more information about Bhante Buddharakkhita's Dharma activities: ugandabuddhistcenter.org
