When would you know if base of Rave Valve is worn out. How much wiggle should the Rave Valve have?

Have 02 gtx di with around 160 hours. Exhaust leak caused this issue on mine. My question is i had 140 compression last year and know things are starting to go. Would you recommend getting a replacement motor from sbt or is the mpem, starter, fuel pump, display, etc going to cost me more in next 5 years than just selling and picking up new 10k machine?

Did you have to rebuild it? Or was it just carbon buildup?

I have a 97 to 98 Sea Doo with a 750 I'm having a problem melting down the race valve pistons and cover's mostly on cyl #1 3 to 1 over cyl #2 can't figure out why the eng was rebuilt just before we bought it when it's working it's great and very fast any suggestions would be a great help

It could be a few things. Are you using the oil injection or going premixed? I had one ski that's kept blowing the pot piston. The oil injection was working fine. I ended going premix and never had a problem again. Another issue is if your running too lean. Did you adjust the high speed on the carbs?

Then I would premix on premix and turn the high speed jet counter clockwise 1/4 turn to half turn

Hello I have the same GTX 1996 I am getting a lot of black stuff on the one on the right rave valve and it's starts to run very rough. It's a lot of black stuff around it and gets it's running rich on the cylinder. Your thoughts. I will was going to rebuild the valve but perhaps I can adjust red cap to perhaps run less rich. I thank you for your consideration.

@@cliffflood7284 Yeah I ended up replacing both of them and then it was fine. Although now I havent been ablele to start it this Spring now...its not the battery, solenoid, mpem/key, or starter...I literally have no idea what the problem is
