How often should one check exhaust manifolds? Can you check them without removing them?

But this doesn't make sense. If it's your rotary valve then you would always have a starting problem. I don't know how it would affect it being water.

When would you know if base of Rave Valve is worn out. How much wiggle should the Rave Valve have?

I use Crusader which greatly reduces exhaust manifold/riser service needs. Look at them vs Mercruiser and the difference are obvious.

I replaced the rotary valve cover on my 2003 GTI and it FIXED my poor starting problem. Thank you SO much! I’ve been tinkering with this for years trying to fix it. WOW!! I didn’t measure my tolerances, I just replaced it hoping it would work, and it did!! (I replaced the o-rings as well) $200 for everything. I got the valve cover from SBT!! 😊

I am from Costa Rica and I am thinking to buying a Speeders BPR 150 with 2 75 HP. The owner say is a 2003 but no sure, one engine is to much wite smoke, so I wander how much will costo a brand new or fully well done refurbished engine to replace just in case. Thanks for any help

Really helpful. Thank you! I don't understand how the crankshaft is lubricated. Mine is the reed valve Rotax 377 with oil injection. If the fuel & air mixture goes under the pistons, would it not surround the crankshaft? And, would some of it not go into the impulse line driving the fuel pump? Is that damaging to the diaphragm? Another video I saw indicated that the impulse line to the fuel pump should be dry. Any additional insight appreciated.

You discussed the elbow gasket but you have the wrong one for your application from what I see. If you have a water hose going to the manifold and the elbow you need the restriction gaskets like you have. If you only have 1 hose going to the bottom of the manifold you need the full flow gaskets.

Hey I'm having hard time start 2005 seadoo gti , It has a clunk sound to it when. A try , What it found be ?

Interestingly, I called SBT and now they charge $185 for the same thing now lol In a few years they're almost doubled the price. They also take 15 days to get the unit back to you. Thankfully I checked mine yesterday and the clearance is .0125 so I'm right on the money. Great video btw! This helped me decide to check the clearance. Turns out, the previous owner had the wrong size bolts in there, the cover was barely holding on, the mating surfaces were covered in junk and one bolt hole was completely stripped out. So, I'm hoping I found my problem haha It's all buttoned up and repaired and I'll be trying it out tomorrow. If it start on the water hot, then it's fixed. If it doesn't, then it's back to the drawing board. My compression is good at 140, spark is good, carbs rebuilt with genuine Mikuni parts, so, this is the last thing. I hope this does it!

Can the fuel alarm be unplugged from the sending unit and everything else work properly? The alarm constantly beeps and is annoying.

Do you have a video for removing carbs on 99 gtx? I want to clean. After 3-5 minutes or running WOT ski starts to run rough/idle and doesn’t accelerate

Great video Capt n B. I saw another video where the carb was being rebuilt and the guy recommended buying JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) screwdrivers. I ordered a set and it fit much better on all the carb screws.

I have a 357 Magnum bravo v4 today while pulling skiers I noticed at idle the thermostat would go to like zero. Do you have any ideas why this is happening? Never over heats.
