Whether fire or ice, Kuai Liang is the one with actual honor, a hero that Earthrealm can rely on no matter the timeline. And of course he can never escape that scar. Just like in MK3, it's a mark of being a "traitor" to the Lin Kuei. I feel that the scar is what makes Kuai Liang complete.

This was really B-handed of sub zero, he was real ice cold 😅 but when I was playing it didn't surprise me as much as sub zero and scorpion are always at it so it made sense naritively. Something that got teased during the chapter I won't go into I really didn't like about the story but that's later down the line.

But Bi-Han was always kind of a jerk. He just wasn't this cartoonishly evil. Scorpion is the good guy here because he's Kuai Liang this time, not Hanzo Hasashi (though Hanzo himself was never exactly evil to begin with, but that's another story).

I'm so disappointed. They could've made Sub Zero an ani-hero have him kill people here and there, sure he betrays his family ( not letting his father die ) but once shit hits the fan he realizes what he's done and BAM he saves the day and is redeemable and goes back to his loving brother but no. NRS just made him evil because they wanted to.

Bi-Han was not always evil. He was an anti-hero before Scorpion killed him. The reason Bi-Han is evil when he becomes Noob Saibot is because Quan Chi corrupted his soul and placed him under mind control, knowing that Bi-Han would never willingly aid him after the events of MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero, where Bi-Han thwarted Quan Chi & Shinnok and single-handedly saved Earthrealm.

@@Corvus-IX Anti-hero sums him up perfectly. He killed Scorpion and suffered the same fate in the first MK tournament. I’ve always held the belief that a good soul cannot be corrupted. A soul with bad intentions and inclination towards evil can be corrupted though that may not be the case in the MK universe. Regardless, Bi-Han is always going to be evil. Kuai Liang is the redemption of the Lin Kuei.

There’s a reason why you don’t f*ck with Frank Castle: he is mentally and physically a brick wall. No form of mind control works on him. @@IsaiahJ420 That is not correct. Bi-Han was named Sub-Zero in Mythologies, the original MK1, and MK9, all when the Lin Kuei grandmaster was still alive. Until Kuai Liang re-established it, it was a cyberized Sektor who was grandmaster after killing the previous grandmaster, who was his father.

yeah bi han was a disappointment in this in both hero/villain aspects bc he achieved pretty much nothing good or bad, he didn't really have much nuance as well. i hope he redeems himself at some point before its too late because there is potential for things in there somewhere, he doesn't have to be goody two shoes, but he also doesn't have to be a mustache twirler

Because the truth is, we really didn't know _that_ much about Bi-Han's personal feelings in the original era. Back when he was still Sub Zero, he simply obeyed the orders of his grandmaster. But now that he's the one in control, he has the opportunity to push his personal agenda.
