I got this bible because I wanted to read the CSB translation, and I have been thoroughly please with everything, and your review sealed the deal. I am getting the commentary as well. Tony Evans, is one of only a handful of men and women of God I respect. I remember he opposed, on national television, the election of Barack Obama, based on his support for the LGBTQ+ agenda, and I thought that was extremely courageous. He continues to uphold, and stay true to biblical values, so I was glad when he, one of only two living authors, came out with a study bible. I continue to pray for he and his family after the loss of his wife. Thanks again for your passion for bibles, and taking the time to produce these reviews they really do help. It’s an excellent Bible and they did a wonderful job on it. The layout of it is really nice and it is so easy to read from. I love everything about it and Tony Evans is such an incredible man. He’s lost several family members plus his wife all within one year. I pray for him and his family. He is truly one in a million. I am glad that you got this Bible and are enjoying it. I am going to invest in the commentary as well, it will be useful to use with other Bibles. But this one is one of my absolute favorites and one of the best Bibles to come out in 2019. Thank you for your comment on Tony! I was skeptical about getting his bible Because I’m not sure about what he teaches. So real quickly under my breath I said to God, please Lord lead me into truth and to the people that teach it. When I read your comment, I new it was confirmation for me. So I purchased Tonys's Study Bible and Commentary about 3 months ago, and both are wonderful. Excellent quality for both, and I've gifted a couple to friends as well, something I plan to do more of in 2021. I also purchased a book entitled "The Complete Sayings of Jesus" by Arthur Hinds. I've gotten into a morning routine where I read a chapter from this book, refer to the Tony Evans Bible for the written word, and finish with a review of Tony's Bible Commentary for the verses from the Hinds chapter I read. . This whole process takes about 30 minutes, but it has s been a great way to start my day with Jesus over the past three months. Tony's commentary at the end of each Hinds chapter and biblical reading has really enhanced my understanding of God's word.

I bought this along with the commentary. Was super excited to get them. When I was in the service just getting started studying then Bible, I used to listen to Dr Evans on the radio every night. He is one of the men of God that I truly respect.

Excellent review! I watch a lot of Dr. Evans videos. I really get a ton of understanding from his sermons. Today I was watching his video on "The Kingdom Agenda." The Kingdom Agenda is the visible demonstration of the comprehensive rule of God over every area of life." I really love his teachings. Thanks for covering this study bible. God bless yall.

The layout is amazing and every detail is done really well. The paper is great, the colors they chose and it is not cluttered at all even though there is a lot of info. It’s a very inviting Bible to use. It’s hard to put down once you pick it up. It’s earned a permanent spot on my nightstand. It’s one of my favorites. I have been very impressed with it.

It is really neat and the video quality is excellent too, I’ve watched 25-30 of them and they’re all very nicely done. I think that aspect of the Bible would be very appealing to the younger generation... but the layout and page design along with great quality paper and an easy on the eyes color scheme is a great combination. The physical size of the Bible is just right too. I think it is the width of it that I like, when opened it just feels perfect. I absolutely love it! One of my top picks for all of 2019, it is that nice! Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it

This is a fantastic study Bible, and one that I actually own. It was my first CSB version and I really like the way Holman does the rectangular tabs also. I didn't even realize I got the genuine leather on this one until it arrived in the mail. These had been on sale at Christianbookstore so I had decided to pick one up. I am very happy with it. I didn't even know who Tony Evans was before seeing this Bible for sale. I did a few video searches on this Bible before pulling the trigger and I am happy with it. The leather on mine has an awesome texture to it. Your CSB study Bible review is what brought me over to this review. I just knew you had to have done a review on this one and I wasn't disappointed. It’s such a great Bible! I bet the genuine leather one is nice! I love the layout and the design of this one and the videos are done very well and are high quality. I really like this. The colors almost have an antique look to it which I really like. Christianbook has incredible prices! I have placed so many orders with them over the years. He's a preacher out of Dallas, I believe? He has a pretty well known family, daughters Priscilla Shirer (War Room, Overcomer, Going Beyond Ministries) and Crystal Evans Hurst (She's written books and bible studies) and I know of at least one son, Tony Jr who is a gospel singer (if I"m not mistaken) He's got several sermons on You tube to watch/listen to to get a better idea of him. I think this bible will be a huge blessing to have.

His wife, Lois, just passed away Monday (12/30/19) and she also has done some bible lessons. Very good loving and biblical family.

I think you'd like him. He is a great man. He was the chaplain for the Dallas Mavericks as well as the Dallas Cowboys. I read his book Warfare which was a great book and so when I saw this Bible I knew I wanted it. It is a very nicely done Bible. If they ever come out with a KJV in this one you will have to get one.

The QR code is an interesting concept! I will have to watch some of his You Tube videos in order to introduce myself to who he is and his theology. Thank you for the book recommendation as well. It looks and sounds interesting, and I trust your judgement. I'm still not sure about the CSB, but if Tony Evans speaks to my heart, I might consider it. The QR codes are interesting and I bet the younger generation will really like that about this Bible but the layout and page design as well as the nice paper makes it appealing n to the rest of us. I really like Tony Evans, as well as his daughter Priscilla Shirer who was in the War Room, she is very good too. Great christian family. The CSB is a joy to read from. Read 7 chapters out loud to my husband and dog last night and they enjoyed it very much. I read them to sleep, it doesn’t take long cause I am kinda boring. Lol. I just ordered the hardcover version of the Tony Evans Study Bible and I am well pleased so far with all the interesting information that's in it. A sister of mine in my church would always mention Tony Evans and so I decided to find out more about him by watching some of his videos on youtube and he gave a powerful sermon on tearing down strongholds. It was very encouraging. Along with the Tony Evans study bible, I have the King James carry where ever you go bible and the quest bible as a part of my collection.

I just started the one year chronological reading plan and am starting to read in the Tony Evans Study Bible but I know in that I will probably read from a variety of Bibles since I am usually prepping to do reviews and like to use a Bible for a while before I review it.

I can see from this video that Tony Evans does not believe in baptism for the remission of sins, or that Christ commands all men be baptized. 1 Peter 3:21, Acts 2 :38, and Mark 16:16 are ignored under his "Baptism" topic. I really like his Kingdom Man Book, but do not agree with his flawed Theology.

Tony evans is a semi pelagian heretic. But his view on baptism is biblical, believers should be baptized, unbelievers should not.

@@StingofTruth Yes definitely. He believes the way that the church has shown me. Baptism is only for when you know what it takes to become a true disciple. How can you be baptised without knowing what it takes to be a disciple? The baptism is the final bit of the conversion

They are both excellent, if I had to choose just one I would pick the CSB Study Bible since it has all the full color content and notes from a variety of people vs just one man. I do really like this Tony Evans Study Bible and the layout is fantastic but I also love a Study Bible with full color content so if I could only have one I'd opt for the other one but thankfully I am fortunate enough to be able to have both! If I have to eat ramen or cereal for dinner for a few weeks to have another Bible option it is worth it! LOL. God's word is my priority. If you can afford both they are excellent Bibles. The layout and design in this one is beautiful and I really like Tony Evans.

That is in the intro part of the Bible where it explains the features of it so they are just giving examples of the various features and explaining how to use them. Nothing fades out in the Bible portion. That is just the intro pages.

You can go ahead and get the Tony Evans bible, and use it along with KJV or NKJV. I bought the Tony Evans CSB when it first came out, not understanding before its arrival, that it isn't KJV. But I use it along side KJV and also other versions like the NIV and NLT. Either of those and the CSB help with understanding of the KJV. But I believe reading of the KJV is a must, as I believe it leaves nothing out from the original Hebrew/Greek translations.

Do you know what size font this Bible is? Does this come in a large print? Thanks!

The font size should be mentioned in the video if I remember correctly but they only have the regular size and not a large print edition. But it is an amazing Bible! I have horrible vision (macular degeneration) and I can read everything in it just fine, with reading glasses of course. I need readers for everything.

@@BibleBelievingChristian Thank you! I wasn't sure if the publisher provided an exact size (e.g. 10 pt, 12 pt, etc). My small font Bibles don't get read as much as I used to because it's more of a struggle to read now. Your video was very helpful thanks again for taking the time to record it!

This one or MacArthur version?

Boy it would be tough to pick just one of them. I really like this one and the MacArthur. The layout and design of this one is super easy on the eyes and it’s neat to have the videos too. It’s also more portable than the MacArthur which is a lot larger. I use them both fairly regularly and love them both. It’d be tough to choose just one. I do really like the size of this one though. I haven’t looked too deeply into him. It’s not my main Bible but the notes and things I’ve read I haven’t seen any issues with but I usually figure that there will typically be something to disagree with in just about any study Bible. From what I’ve read and seen I really like this Bible and the layout is especially nicely done.

As far as I know he is not a Calvinist but I am not 100% sure but I am leaning towards no.
