Do the saddle bags open on the bike ?

Yes the saddlebags open. But they do not open up all the way. They open enough to get your hand in and something about as thick as your fist out.

@@bictrikes My thing is what keep my saddlebags from getting scratched up on the steel fenders when opening the bags ?
