That NSU was something else - boggles my mind how something from the 60’s looks so modern still. Really enjoyed this video 👍🏻

Thanks Nico, the guy also showed me the rotor tips that caused all the problems in the engine, they were just simply too heavy when combined with the centrifugal force, just changing them for lighter items resolved all the issues, but sadly it was too late to rescue the company… what a pity.

Thxs for posting…grew up in Belgium but moved to southern California 30 years ago. It’s a lot of fun to see those , brings back so many memories! The BMW M1 was really something and the brand never followed up unfortunately. Too bad. Benz got the SLR, the SLS even the current AMG GT. bmw really never brought back anything exotic. Even Audi had the R8. Big miss in terms of halo from bmw

Hi Chris, I think due to the fact it was the first major event after Christmas people were just glad to get out of the house, the turnout was good, but it was bitterly cold all day!

@Lot76CARS I wasn't there myself. (I have an Oxford green e38 7 series) however, there are a couple of guys there with Oxford green M5s. This is Jon's and then there's another chap I've met a few times at various car shows with the plate M5 0XFD which is probably what you saw by the sounds of it. Both great people with lovely cars.

The ch in Bianchi is pronounced k. When c is followed by i or e it's pronounced ch, but if there's an h in between as in "chi" "che" it's pronounced k. Same goes for g and gh, hence the pronounciation of Lamborghini.

Wow, Audi 100 would be rare enough let alone a 200 Avant. The 90 looks great too, I always liked the 80 in period. That MK3 Cavalier looks really tidy too. The fiat coupe is a striking design but it's some of the smaller details like that fuel filler flap that really set it apart from the crowd. Hard to believe the Maestro is four decades old, in hind sight a little ahead of the curve being a larger five door hatchback rather than a fastback or saloon. I saw a Subaru BRAT last year, certainly not a common sight. A Lexus V8 powered classic Toyota 4x4 is an interesting modification. Porsche 914 is an interesting car being mid engined and one of many collaborative efforts with VW. Love the Alfa 145 (and 146). I saw a base spec 145 1.6 out over Christmas. The 512 Testarossa Monospecxio were the very early cars, I believe due to a misinterpretation of regulations. My pick would be either a later Testarossa or a 512TR. Sadly the last of the Testarossa (512M) were to heavily restyled for my liking. Porche 928 still looks so fresh, must have look like something from the future I'm the 70's and 80:s. I'd like to try a Hillmam Imp, always found them interactions. That Singa looks very impressive. As does that P6, certainly more exciting than any recent car of the year. The Renault 16 like the River really was an exciting new car that still cuts it today. The NSU and the XM still look.very cutting edge I'd like to see all of those cars of the year in a stand at the NEC. I remember the Alfa 156 launching and lived the modern interpretation of a classic saloon with those concealed door handles and instruments reminiscent of a Lamborghini Miura. The offset front number plate took a bit more getting used to though. Who doesn't love an SD1 vitesse, stunning car. That E36 may be a 316 but at least it's got body colour bumpers, I knew someone who had one with grey bumpers in the 90's. I still think the E36 represent a sound investment as far as appreciating classics go. Wow a Seat 850, really don't seem to see those at shows. I did see a Fiat lady year. I don't think can recall having ever seen an M1 up close.

Thanks Mark. Despite a freezing day the mix of cars was really great and the event was well supported. The ECOTY celebration was a nice surprise and I came away thinking how far ahead some of those cars were, thinking Rover P6 and the Ford Focus here. Looking forward to the April event now!

Have to say . Very impressive coverage , a few mistakes but l don't think anyone knows it all !! The Series 2 Daimler is finished in Greensand . I had a Jaguar in that colour .The velour interior was only available in 3.4 form . However my 4.2 was a special order in velour for a local businessman's wife . She didn't want her pet dog to slip on leather !!! The Rover 2000 was actually cribbed from the Citroen DS . Rover bought one , smuggled it into the factory and the skeleton bodyshell with it's bolt on panels was copied . And the P6 was first used with the Rover gas turbine in 1961 . Just now l cannot consider subscribing . I have too many events in my life .
