This has been so helpful! What size bit socket are you using to tighten the locking nuts?

Hi, The bicycle rear axle nut is 15mm. The nuts on the arm and wheel are 17 mm. The Bolt heads are 14mm. The Bolt head in the wheel is 19mm. Thanks for your question.

Can I install them on a bike with derailleur?

Yes, if you look in the video the bicycle has a derailleur. Although these may not be compatible for some bicycles for other reasons. Watching the video can give an idea if it could be installed on what type of bicycle.

As a cycle instructor I have come to hate training wheels with a passion. I teach mainly kids and it is much harder to teach kids to ride that have used training wheels than it is with a kid that has never even sat on a bike before! i can get 95% of kids balancing within a one hour session and a similar number riding within two hours - as long as they have not used training wheels! With training wheels it can take hours and they still don't ride. These abominations teach cycling the wrong way round - it should be balance and braking first then pedalling etc.

Hi, It is widely appreciated all work and effort that every instructor put into teaching sports and specially cycling to kids around the whole country. Keep in mind, these training wheels are intended mainly for adult persons, and also can be used by kids. There is abundance of positive feedback from persons of all different ages, adult, elders and parents who either by personal choice, either because an existing health condition or disability, are not able or don't feel safe riding with no training wheels. Many have communicated gratitude of being able to ride along parks, trails and routs sharing great time with their close family. Thanks for your input!
