@@youraveragejoe7644 it takes mini 30 mags, pretty expensive especially if you want just 10 rounds. The 5 round mag is fine tho.

@@Ahmad__Muslim Yes it does take mini 30 mags I have 2. It’s a excellent rifle. Accurate, affordable, outstanding round, Able to take most North American game within 300 yards. Of all my rifles it’s one of my favorite.

@@Ahmad__Muslim “ALL” states? .762 is .30 caliber. Far from minimum. And in many states you can use as small as .20 caliber like 204 super 22-250 223, 224 valkyrie, And so on.

My good friend and reloading buddy attended a local auction with me and this beauty was going for a somewhat fair price. He said he was finished but at the corner of my eye, he reluctantly raised his hand and went over his limit. He got it, called me some lewd names and let me shoot her the following Sunday. She shoots like no carbine rifle I’ve ever held and cycled. CZ knows how to make these beauties drive tacks!

CZ had a good thing going with the 527 line. I don't know what possessed them to discontinue it.

@@ReloaderJoe very true. my good friend mentioned they discontinued the 500 series. Damn shame. I at least hope CZ buying out Colt makes the quality go even higher. Then again they could stop imports because they’re technically not an American company anymore

After you chamber a round, you can push the trigger forward. Then you get a very light, hair trigger! Love this rifle. Wish I hadn't sold mine

This is a great rifle. Accurate, great stopping power, cheap to maintain and shoot. Do not underestimate the value of this rifle.

Cali has one of the worst gun laws in the world and thats coming from a dude currenctly living in the EU if i went to a gun store and asked for a 10 round mag for AK the cashier would look at me like im insane

@@randomdude2546 Dude all we need to do to an Ak is wrap the grip. That's it. The AK already comes with a fixed stock and comes with a muzzle brake. Literally shoots the same round, at the same velocity as any other AK. And those that were lucky to register their AKs during the first registration window, have completely normal AKs. CA gun laws are bad but we can literally own everything here. I went into my local gun shop and saw three SCAR 17s on the rack. Do you see SCAR 17s at your gun shops in EU?

Sadly no longer made! Only Howa import rifles chambers 7.62×39 in their mini action line of bolt actions. Have owned three of these lovely shooting rifles . Fantastic firearms !

yeah, I don't know what the people over at CZ are thinking. They've discontinued all their nice looking rifles. The 527 and 550 especially.

A shortgun or a semi auto pistol is better choice, bolt action gun are hard to fire and slow so not good for defense.

Probably pretty accurate for it being manufactured by CZ , they have always been a great arm for the accuracy and reliability.

I don't know why 7.62x39mm is working more powerful in bolt action than when it's on an ak or an assault rifle.

Because in a bolt action it doesn't bleed the gas off to cycle the bolt.

That would be good. I'm guessing they stuck it so far down the barrel so it won't get in the way of a scope.

I opted for a ruger american v2 chambered in 7.62 x 39 over this. I dont have too much mess around money, so the ruger saves me quite a bit and allows me to buy a nice scope without second thoughts. I was full prepared to spend the 1,200 or so on the cz haha.

Looks like the kind of bolt rifle I would like for My collection . Certainly a good choice for a young shooter. This Rifle would look good with a five round Magazine and stripper clip capability like the Mauser’s or if that box mag holds at least ten rounds thats a plus and definitely the stripper clip reload ability. If its not machined into the receiver one could be attached like a scope mount , just a thin spring steel guide. Loading with a stripper clip can still be accomplished without a guide, its just not as positive a feel. Also a good aperture receiver sight to improve the sight radius would be a plus. A good rifle for those days when rain and snow flurries cause problems with optical sights.

I was going for the CZ 527 Lux in 223, beautiful gun. All gone now. Ended up with a less pretty but less expensive CVA Cascade.

I read that CZ was going to discontinue the 527 and was disappointed cause I really want one of these. I like the longer barreled 6.5 grendel too.

I'm pretty sure they have already discontinued the whole 527 line, both carbine and the American versions. I wish I had bought ones in 223 and 6.5 Grendel before they discontinued. I don't know why CZ would stop making these or any other rifles, they already have the tooling and machines setup.

That would be nice. The notch sight it does have works really well and is nice and visible, unlike the semi buckhorn types on my other rifles.

How is it almost every gun guy wants what he doesn't have? Makes no matter if it's better or worse. I got over that years ago. If it's made in bolt action then everyone wants semiautomatic. If everyone has semiautomatic then I want it in bolt action. If everyone has semiautomatic then I must have class 3 full auto. When does the end come? When is a collector happy? Never?

I have one of these and love it taught my son how yo deer hunt with cheap plentifully ammo hornafy make match grade ammo for it using the set trigger you can stack rounds at the range

I wouldn't mind picking one up bit should make a decent little Blacktail deer or even Whitetail deer rifle I'd put a set of see thru rings and a 4x32 on it for optics should make a nice package
