It’s not some lmao it’s like 80-90% I was taught in school that it was a necessary evil. Keep in mind that I was in the Ann Arbor school district, which is widely known as one of the most liberal and most educated cities in the Midwest mainly due to all the educated folks who work for the University of Michigan, one of the best universities in the world.

Just do it for the future of the country -- a non-partisan issue. --> will not incentivize illegals to cross the border and baby spit. Amend `U.S. Citizenship By Birth.` "Citizenship by birth" should be granted only to children born to U.S. citizens and permanent residents. In addition, at least one parent must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident (Green Card Holder). Children born to a person under any other visa (temporary - H1B/L1, etc.) category and those illegally residing in the U.S. should NOT be granted automatic Citizenship by Birth. England did the same in 1983.Post this on the door of every member of Congress in your state and all concerned voters in the community.

Yeah, conditionally. What the Allies rightfully demanded was UNCONDITIONAL surrender because the Japanese were trying to suggest terms that would protect their war criminals, the fascist institutions supporting them, and the emperor (whom the US ended up keeping anyways on their own terms unfortunately). The bombs weren’t the only factor in the surrender but to act like they had nothing to do with it when it was explicitly mentioned in the Emperor’s surrender speech is dumb Oh, and notice how Leahy also implicitly defends both the firebombings and blockade, which caused far more harm than the nukes

@@alinachrist8416 Some of them yes, but we still got an occupation that dismantled the Japanese military and a constitution that rejected wars of aggression. I agree, they should have gone farther, but that option only exists with conditional surrender. Also, the Japanese sought conditional surrender after months of firebombing. Air power at this time was solely indiscriminate; there was no such thing as precision bombing at the strategic level. It’s tragic but it ultimately saved more lives by supplanting the idea of an invasion.

I understand whats going on here better than Hasan does. Bernie fully understands the reality of the situation, but he can't say that Israel is responsible for Hamas or for creating the conditions that led to 10/7 because he would be censured and the Israeli lobby would dump all their money into ousting him. I understand Hasan's frustration but Bernie is taking a huge risk being as bold as he has been on this. There is a political reality constraining Bernie's true feelings and speech.

I would say Biden is more than an asshole.. he’s taking part in a full blown genocide and refuses to stick to even his own red line. He seems, to me, to be just as dangerous as Trump.

You are correct. There are three types of Anti-Trumpf voters in this election. Those who say "f it, we need to teach Democrats a lesson, they don't listen to us, we won't vote Biden, consequences be damned", those who say "Trump must be kept out of office by all means, Gaza be damned" and those who basically play a game of chicken with Biden until election day. If Biden doesn't come through significantly enough for Gaza, he will probably lose the election. So he tries to make as little concessions as possible and as many as necessary, in his estimation. Meanwhile Trump is a significant threat to US security as well as world peace. If elected he will be more dangerous than in his first term as 1. he is more experienced, 2. has more allies and 3. the world is much more unstable than it was from 2016-2020. However, if authoritarian post-truth fascism is a tsunami hitting western democracies then Trump is just one wave. There will be many others like him after him, it's not like keeping him out of office will defeat or even weaken the political culture he represents. Just my 2 cents

So I wrote half an essay as a response and KZfaq deleted it, nice. To make it short, you are correct in your assessment. The way I see it, Anti-Trump voters who care about gaza are playing a game of chicken with Biden until election day.

you gotta do whatever is in your heart. personally I feel like, this far out from the election, we could use the threat of withholding our votes as a way to put pressure on biden. come November, if you feel like it’s the best option, you could just begrudgingly vote for biden - but if we have the power right now to exert some leverage on him over this issue, it would be a shame not to. if everyone just said “well Joe, we HOPE you do the right thing, but we’ll be voting for you no matter what” then what incentive does he have to do anything differently? anyway that’s just my own two cents, since you asked for someone to talk to you, haha
