These college protests are frustrating because the focus was taken over quickly and uncontrollably. First, the protests were about cease fire - a cause everyone could support. Then it quickly changed to support of the Palestinian people and then the protests became anti-Israeli/anti-Jewish. Because the protests were poorly organized and universities allowed open access so non-students could also participate, outside instigators and hate groups easily infiltrated the student camps. It was all downhill from there as the infiltrators hijacked the students’ cause.
