We were bamboozled about Biden's mental acuity. This is reminiscent of Feinstein - - where she and her staff repeated try to reassure she was fit for the job, but then we saw her in a wheelchair and witnessed her dementia during public hearings. AND THEN, SHE DIED. OMG

It makes zero sense for him to drop out. If Biden is removed you will be handing the presidency to Trump. Being an incumbent is a HUGE leg up when running. Taking that key away and causing a contest for the Democratic nominee would hand two keys to Trump.

Biden had everything at his disposal and perfect conditions to prepare and be at his best for this debate. If what we saw at the debate was his "best" - then I'm scared to see how he is normally. If that was just a "bad debate" - then I'm scared about where all that prep time went and how ineffective it was on him. What we saw was embarrassing and should not have happened.

I am glad to hear Jamie Raskin's name being mentioned. I know he's had the cancer issue but it appears to be in remission. He is one of the smartest, most articulate people in Washington and, despite his intellectual abilities, is able to express himself so the average voter can understand him. Is Biden perfect? No. Is he old? Yes. But has he done a lot of good things in office? Definitely. I just don’t agree he’s going to be that easy to replace. It has never been done this late. The entire party would be thrown into chaos and there would be no consensus around a single candidate. There are tons of people better than Biden, but to find one this late that the entire party could get behind, plus undecideds and independents - the odds are so slim. I’m very worried. Biden may be old, but somehow he has managed to get a bunch of good legislation passed and the economy is incredible. The alternative is horrific. I’d vote for Mickey Mouse over Trump. 💙🙏🏻🇺🇸

Introducing the maximum age for the President is just a logical next step if you have the minimal age. More than that, so high minimal age has far less sense in a fast and changing world than not having the maximal one.

The Gaza thing will of course always be a dark stain on his record, but throughout time, I do think Biden will be remember as an above average president (because unfortunately most presidents would've behaved similarly, to an extent 😩), who beat the wannabe dictator reality show host...
