We were feeling insecure and unsettled that our leader of the free world was weak. We are shocked that America's main stream media ignored all the signs..or covered it up. It affects us all.

100% agree, the bit that got me was MSNBC and CNN all kept saying, he's sharp, he's on top of his game, blah blah blah and then he has the debate (which he prepared a week for) and they now say, oh wow I think we have a problem. If us here in Aus knew he was well passed it and was in decline when he was running in 2019-2020, how can they have only just noticed, total BS, they have been covering for him this whole time. I'm no Trump fan boy and as crazy as he comes across, he is a much stronger leader than Biden. Quite honestly Russia and China must be pissing themselves laughing at this shit show.

I have 24 years of experience as a CNA in geriatrics and yes I see the mental decline. I have been a democrat since I was 18 and that was decades ago. As far as Jill and the others using Joe in such a way is elder abuse, which is a felony. I know I would have to report such behavior to my supervisor and if I felt that my report was going nowhere I would report it directly to the area on aging here in my county (NE PA), this way the senior citizen could get the help they needed. I am sure they have some other reporting line down there, I just do not know what it is in DC.

Regardless, we all saw the debate and as more is coming out, Joe Biden's cabinet and advisors will no longer be able to cover for him without some form of incrimination being directed at them. If Mr. Biden does not voluntarily step down by week's end, I expect formal motions will be made and actions taken to address his physical and mental fitness to continue on as President. It will be sad (in some respects) that our first female President will assume office because of Mr. Biden's diminished capabilities, but it will indeed happen and within two weeks we will have a new President.

When Jill was praising Biden, telling him he got everything right, did you see his expression? He looked like a little kid who'd just won a spelling Bee for spelling DOG correctly; so pleased that 'mommie was happy i did a good job'. How sad. And Jill herself appeared to be desperate to not lose her coveted position in the limelight as First Lady.😢 This whole situation is a tragedy unfolding before our eyes.

Can we make a law that president has to have a cognitive test every 6-12 months while in office ?!? This is a safety issue. I work in medicine and noticed 3 years ago he had dementia In his first debate with trump. He needs to get out and it’s scary no one is demanding a cognitive test.

Cognitive testing for dementia and neurocognitive disorders aren't always clear when given to people with more education and mental exercise. They can compensate for deficits much better to a point where the tests won't necessarily pick it up. It becomes more of a case of judging based on a combination of life factors. A president isn't paying his own bills typically, isn't driving and doesn't need to use a stove. That makes it much easier to mask typical warning signs.

I think he's not just in age related cognitive decline, but also ha Parkinson's. That would explain why he has moments where he is lucid. His shuffling gate, freezing on the spot, are typical indications of PD. When they want him to look less decrepit, they'll be giving him a dose of apo-morphine which will reduce his symptoms, but it's very timing dependent. My guess is they didn't get the timing right on debate nite, and the empty shell we saw was the combination of being in age relative cognative decline, and poorly controlled PD. He needs to go, not only for his own health, but for the health of the US. Sadly whoever is elected is just another nail in coffin of democracy. Don't kid yourselves, democracy is voting in representatives of the people. Where what you have now is elected officials who only represent big business, and special interest groups like AIPAC.

Reminds me of Senator McConnell as well. His handlers would wheel him out and hold his hand as much as possible, but there were so many times where he just was incapable of speech. I freeze just like Biden does. I’m 44 and have young onset Parkinson’s. I have ALL of Bidens symptoms. Not everyone with Parkinson’s has tremors. He doesn’t. This disease comes with brain fog, unable to find words, rigidity, soft voice, mumbling, etc And with these exact symptoms I had to step down from sr management at a big corporation. I’m still on disability. I’m aware of my rapid decline. I can’t run a business anymore. If Biden has Parkinson’s…. His brain and thoughts are mush. Trust me. This is a national security risk

Are you able to turn those symptoms on and off at will? Because I’m sure you know that Biden has not shown any such symptoms since the debate. I’m sure you’ve seen and heard him live on at least 3 separate occasions since last Thursday. Do you ever sound the way he sounded in Raleigh? Did your doctor diagnose your Parkinson’s based on your performance on one day, or did he/she look at the big picture and weigh several factors, consider differential diagnoses, consider the effects of stress, nervousness, and sickness?

Why didn't you write a little column about it ?? You're a journalist.... The American people should be made aware if their president is having health problems... They have a right to know. So Biden's mental state is making him unaware of his surroundings, cantankerous, unwilling to listen to advice and co sequently unable to adapt to new situations. How much did this state of affairs contribute to his inveterate support for the Netanyahu government's actions in Palestine, no matter how many innocents die and how many times he is humiliated by Netanyahu? This is not simply an American domestic issue. This is a global issue. Allowing a senile individual who is completely open to manipulation to head such a powerful post as is POTUS is not only scandalous - it is downright criminal. Biden has access to the nuclear codes ffs. If you don't trust a guy with your car, I don't see why he should be trusted with the future of the planet.

Whether or not they replace Biden, the presidency is lost. The time to decide this was before Biden announced for a second term. The party should have put aside Biden's ego for the sake of the country. They are handing the election to Trump.

When I heard he’s only able to function between 10am and 4pm I gasped. My grandma who passed away last year was the same. It’s literally called sundowners where older people with dementia get very confused at night. My grandma was 92 and during the day she was doing good but by night she didn’t know where she was or who was alive.

Yes. Rush Limbaugh said exactly the same thing about him back in 2019, that he had symptoms of sundowners. It totally fits, only now we're five years later. Should have been listening back before 2020...

The writing is on the wall. Anyone who has watched a family member suffer with dementia knows the signs and Biden is definitely showing signs. In the '80's my family and I watched my Grandmother suffer with dementia. Anyone who would allow a loved one to be laughed at and mocked just to keep their own personal power is the most despicable thing anyone can do.

Sometimes when you're around someone all the time you don't realize how bad it is. I'm not sure that they're intentionally trying to trick the American people. My mother's wife died a week ago, and we thought just the day before, because she was awake and talking that she was going to recover from this sudden illness. She was healthy 7 weeks ago and died, a week ago.

Newsom wouldn’t do anything to risk a single hair coming out of place on his head like actually participating in a contested convention. Also consider that it’s in Newsom’s, Whitmer’s, etc personal best interest for Trump to win, so they can be the Democratic replacement in 2028. And do you really think they got as far as they did by considering what’s in the country’s best interest to the detriment of their own interest? The only upside I can see in trying to butt in now is that you skip a 2020-like Democratic primary where dozens participate. But the downsides are career ending if they fail and get blacklisted by the democratic party and its voters.

Each day that goes on that I am gaslit about Biden's ability to serve another four years, the more I feel his movement is anti-Democratic... no primaries? Undemocratic. Won't listen to the voters' concerns about competency, shutting down even the notion of an open convention? Undemocratic. The cognitive dissonance is MOUNTING.

If they knew, why the debate? They had a perfect excuse to refuse after Trump was convicted. It's beneath the office of President to debate a felon. I can't imagine Obama doing it under those circumstances.
