President Biden said on Friday that the White House will begin airdropping aid and supplies to Palestinian refugees in Gaza. The move comes a day after Israeli troops fired at Palestinians during a deadly and desperate aid delivery in northern Gaza. Natalie Brand is at the White House with the latest.

What made it look extra creepy is how much it resembles the hunger games. You remember that scene where everdeen was injured and one of the people watching everybody being slaughtered at the games sent her some cream for her wound in a container with a parachute. Same thing, Our country is supporting Israel genocidal assault on gaza and just like that rich entitled asshole in the hunger games we are sending food in parachutes(like the cream) while we watch them being slaughtered. There's a few billion spent every year on programs here at home. Most of em are set up to be as difficult as possible to access, while a notable percentage of the displaced don't want the assistance at all. It's a very complex issue that can't be solved by simply trying to help our own. At its root, we have housing market issues that are almost completely unspoken from our politicians. They few who do speak up rarely offer any meaningful resolution to these problems. It's a real head scratcher.

As an Economist, I wonder how this aid is estimated. If it takes 4 to 5 days to arrive at Gaza, are the hundreds of civilians, including children, that will die by Israel hands, deductible from initial estimate? Like this type of exercise: Number of civilians to aid : 100 000 Number of days since Planning to Delivery: 5 days Number of civilians killed by Israel, by day : 1000 US aid should be: 100 000 - (5 x 1000) = 95 000 Why is this important? Because the value saved with 5000 civilians dead, can be be redirected to Military Industrial Complex. If I was American, I would "oblige" this type of management in order to avoid waste.
