This interview episode Biff Byford, the vocalist and bassist of the legendary Heavy Metal band Saxon talks about the future of Saxon and the bands latest cover album More Inspirations on which they've covered some of the most influential songs for them. Biff Byford also speaks about Paul Quinn quitting Saxon and his replacement, as well wether he will be part of the band in the future on Saxon tours in 2023 and 2024.
We also speak about Saxon's new album, what will it sound like and when it will be released. And also discuss Biff Byford's new solo album, as well as how Biff looks for inspiration in history and events which have touched him personally.
We also discuss the early days of NWOBHM and how such bands as Saxon looked up to the older bands, such as Judas Priest and Motorhead, as well as the relationships within the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement with the bands like Iron Maiden, Def Leppard and others. In addition, Biff Byford shares the most hilarious story from one of the Saxon tours, when Paul Quinn got detained because of his guitar.
