Washington lost every starter but one, and they lost all their top talent that barely got past Oregon in 2023. Oregon was just one quarter in the pac12 title game from making the playoffs, and winning the Heisman. In 2024, Oregon has the best offense in the Big10 and easily a top 3 offense in all of cfb. In two seasons, Lanning went from the #75 scoring defense to a top10 scoring defense and in year three the young 4 and 5 star talent makes a HUGE jump…and the top3 transfer portal class filled with payed assassins, takes Oregon to levels they’ve never seen on offense, and defense. This is the best roster in Oregon hosted, getting them well over the 70% mark for the blue chip ratio, and they’ll have a QB that will end up breaking the all time passing yard record, with close to 20,000yds, in Dillon Gabriel.

I notice a trend you don’t really follow college football. Can’t even pronounce Drew Allar, that is an immediate red flag. No Ohio State? No Oregon? Is this a serious take? Sounds like one of those Nebraska fans. Thankfully games will be played and just because a team misses top teams doesn’t make them a top team. Washington has no roster and are in a full rebuild with some pretty serious allegations their dealing with. They are no where near the top five unless the rest of the B1G is just that terrible.

Washington isn't dealing with any allegations, they had a couple bad apples from DeBoers roster they had to get rid of, but nothing 0regon doesn't deal with on a yearly basis. The Washington roster is going to be fine and since Lanning is one of the worst in game coaches in the conference, if not the nation, Washington has a good shot of making it four straight wins vs 0regon. Not sure why ducky fans think they are going to blow everyone out, maybe it's that big bowl game win vs Liberty.

Maybe cite the fact that Oregon lost their QB1, RB1, WR1, and CB1? Maybe then you could convince some people? But you guys clearly aren't very informed, pronouncing Drew Allar's name wrong, calling Dylan Raiola "That 5 star kid" ... Oregon and OSU are CLEARLY the 2 best rosters, and Darrin did absolutely nothing to disprove that. If you're going to provide a hot take, your reasoning should be legitimate.

Thank you for the comment. I tried to go solely data driven on this one using strength of schedule and returning players etc. and earlier comment did make me rethink something that I missed and would change my top 5 now. But that will have to wait closer to when fall camp opens

@@dnasportsrecap No, you dropped the ball. Ohio State returns almost their entire defense and added Caleb Downs. The offense is loaded at all skill positions and can only help yank Brown or Will upwards. OSU outgained UM in yards and first downs, lost by 6 points on the road and returns wayyyyyy more than Michigan .... and the game is in the shoe. I have never heard of any of you guys but the guy on the right at least knows football. The guy on the left must have been on a Mormon missionary since birth and has not watched any football since to come up with his predictions.

@@dnasportsrecap Oregon is my #1 only them and ohio state maybe for the first time ever are extremely evenly matched I think the best of those teams comes down to the QB play where oregon has them by a country mile will howard is a 50% completion guy though his 4 years that will not get it done no matter what weapons you have... ohio state at 2 i have Penn state at 3 Iowa at 4 they are all defense no offense i dont believe they are a threat to the big dogs and actually northwestern at 5 they had a hell of a turn around season last year going 8-5 i think that program may be in the midst of real change

@@dnasportsrecap way too early was when Ohio State did not know they'd be returning a shit load of players that were predicted to go into the draft, 3 of the top players in the portal and one of the best recruitment classes were not finalized. I just saw one publication have Ohio State #1 and most have them in Oregon in top 5 in country.

In my defense there was whiskey involved. But yeah, I took all the “ties” CBS sports had listed and I took each of those teams strength of schedule and built my list off of that. Followed mostly PAC-12 and SEC when it came to CFB so Big Ten was not my strong suit. Thanks for commenting and watching though

Pretty close. I follow more closely SEC and PAC-12 (previously). I did call MI winning the National Title game before the CFP spots were even set however. I just didn’t want to go match for match with what everyone else is saying. Bold yes. But as a “way too early” prediction I stand by it

@@dnasportsrecap any top 5 without tOSU top 3 is wrong. And I am the exact opposite of a tOSU fan. They haven’t been outside of the top 3 in B1G play in what, a decade plus? And they are an expected top 2 team nationally this season! tOSU 1, UM 2 (I think U O and UM are interchangeable), UO 3 (has a chance to “prove it” and beat mich to jump), PSU 4 (have to field a good passing offense before anyone puts them higher), and Rutgers 5 because their schedule is a literal cakewalk.

@@dnasportsrecap I’m a duck. And to be unbiased u I do not care if u don’t have them in top 5. Guy on the right had good teams and good reasons. But u cannot tell me. Put Rutgers and Ohio state on a neutral field and u putting money on Rutgers… that is insanity. And if these r power rankings nobody cares about soft Rutgers and Nebraska schedules. Texas is stepping into the SEC with the 2nd best roster and 2nd best odds to make Conference title game so that isn’t true

This dropped into my feed so I thought I'd give you a try. I'm not sure if the guy on the left, as I'm facing my TV screen, is trying to be funny or serious. Regardless if you call it a way too early top five. That dude's got to either watch some football games or buy a clue. That had to be the most asinine top five I've ever seen. If you don't know college football. For the love of God and everything that's holy, don't display your ignorance on a channel, the whole world can see. A top five without Ohio State and Oregon. But you include Washington (who doesn't have a team, it just went to the NFL draft) Rutgers and freaking Nebraska. Are drugs legal in your state? This is called a one and done viewing for the so-called DNA sports podcast viewing. My 5-year-old grandson with a box of crayons could of came up with a better top five than that.

@@dnasportsrecap arguably the best defense this year along with OSU, they have an amazing back field, the best TE in the league. This Orgi guy looks like Tim Tebow but a better passer, O line has some solid return guys and a great transfer. Big ten still belongs to OSU and Michigan. Looking more like OSU this year, they just have a dumpster fire for a coach. Don’t sleep on USC
