This is the Big Battery Ethos Whole House battery. The design of the Ethos is modular to allow for easy install and expansion. 15kwh of battery storage needs 3 battery modules. A control box fits on top of the battery to communicate and connect the battery to the inverter.

You've come a long way from the midnight charger and lead-acid batteries in your crawl space.

Good looking batteries and its a clever design to have wired dual paths for the high amperage. I'm a tad concerned for your safety that the breakers are buried behind 2 sets of covers with screws. That would slow you down if you have an issue and need quick access to shut them off.

I really enjoy the modular design. It makes moving 15 kWh much easier. Coming up next, I'll be showing off the rhino 2 battery. It was 309 pounds. Much more difficult to move around.

Nice install, earlier you also showed you could connect the Yeti Pro 4000 to your shed, are those going to work parrallel, or will you use the Yeti only as backup?

I'm going to see if I'm able to disconnect the jumper in my transfer switch so that I can use it as 240. That will allow me to use the luck's power as 240 V. The yeti will likely go to a new home.

04:20 - always start a screw/bolt/nut by hand, or if you do that in a factory, it could fly into machinery on production lines, etc..

That is a good idea. Here in the diy home install it's not so bad. But I could see a flying screw being bad in many cases.

I am about to connect the battery to the shop power and see how well it runs everything off grid.

If using the two of the 6K Inverters, do the inverters come with Current Transformers (CT) so that in a grid-tied set up I can be sure NOT to back-feed any energy into the grid? Extremely important for some of us not to put anything into the grid.

I know for sure the 12K comes with CT clamps. I'm about to open the 6K inverter and I will let you know about that 1.

What's it's estimated life, say to 50% deterioration, medium use? All these factors have got to be factored in, in initial cost calculations.

These batteries have up to 8000 full cycles. The warranty is for 10 years. From what I can tell the battery is high quality.

8000 cycles to 80% usually, so FAR more to 50%@@LandtoHouse
