Big Bell Ghost Town - Western Australia

Жыл бұрынToday the ruins of the big old hotel tell of a town that was once vibrant and full of life. Nearby sit the ruins of an old church but there is precious little else left of the town.
Mining towns have always had a precarious existence and Big Bell sits in the desert as a reminder of the fate of so many other towns that have long since vanished.

I used to drive past this every 6 months or so when I was a sales rep going to mine sites. It never seemed quite real just appearing seemingly from nowhere. That was about 25 years ago and it was in a bit better condition. Thanks for the video.

This how archaeology happens. If you dig into the ground, you'll probably find a bunch of forgotten things hidden in the dirt. I'm guessing there are skeletons around the church, and bits of the golf course you could recreate. It could be very interesting if any of the buildings had a basement
