Nikhil Krishna yep bens rookie year. came in and won what 15 straight games and led his team to the AFC champ game where they lost to the Pats the year the pats were stealing signals? beat up the pats earlier that season wasn’t even close then played them in the AFCC with the same two teams, no injuries on either side, back at hines field, joey porter (who terrorized tom brady back then) is quoted saying anytime the steelers called a play and lined up the Pats would audible out and change their play after seeing the formation and signals and it was like they knew every play the steelers were going to run before they ran it. said they predicted over 80% of the steelers plays correctly. imagine if they didn’t do that and big ben went 16-0 as a starter and led his team to the SB. can’t remember who the pats beat that year but i know no NFC team was beating the steelers in the SB esp with that momentum and how hot the steelers defense was.

@@TheMercenary-zj5vo yeah, but those are bang-bang plays. It seems more reasonable to think that refs sometimes blow calls because they are human than to believe some conspiracy that a ref in the heat of the moment thinks to himself, "Oh, I guess this is one of those plays I should or should not throw a flag/make a certain call because the NFL told us they want this particular team to win."

A game for the ages! I never screamed during a game in my life! Their entire play offs were fantastic. Say what you say about that year's SB, the Steelers deserved it since a year earlier.

Crazy how Vandejac was 23-23 FG at home from 04-05 then this game happens and he chokes it wide right Dungy and Bill Pollian knew they had to make a change at the kicking position cause the media and the announcers made him seem like a Clutch kicker and he wasn't

Bill Cowher coached some monster Steelers teams. His teams were loaded with talent on both sides of the ball. He should have won 4 or 5 Championships.

How was that safety not a safety? I don't like how the NFL is influenced, even when it plays out for my team.

Also, how could you let Joey Porter get to Manning totally unblocked 2x on that drive that should have ended the game???

These were two great TEAMS at the time. So many notable names and superstars playing. Troy Polamalo, Ben R., Hines Ward, Alan Faneca, Jerome BettisPeyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, Bob Sanders, Dwight Freeney, Dallas Clark, Reggie Wayne. These are all HOF's or potential HOF's.

I was 15 years old and felt like I was going to have a heart attack. Never seen a more exciting sequence of events in an NFL playoff game than the last 1:20 of the game. You couldn't sit down.
