It's important to stay in touch with your mates from that time...you all reminisce together and it's like it never vanished. .you're all back there in that era with one another. The 90s were great, especially mid-late 90s.

@Jessica’s_Princess I'm watching it for the first time right now, I actually like the comedian that presents it but you can't help but see so many, not English people on there. Then the adverts that are followed are again full of people who aren't English. The show itself just seems forced and can't be carried by just one good comedian.

This truly was the best time to be alive as a kid.. I used to watch this every morning, and then when I got home from school it'd be cartoon network with things like pokemon, or fresh prince on Trouble and simpsons on Sky One.. always flicking over to the music channels during the adverts like Kiss, The box, kerrang, mtv base Then saturday morning it'd be SMTV live followed by WWE in its prime and then from midday onwards it was a mix of playing outside like real kids, or playing n64, mega drive etc.. No phones or internet to ruin everyone's lives, just great TV, and toys and collectables like yo-yos, pogs, pokemon cards, tamagotchis, football stickers and random crap that you'd get in packs of crisps or cereals

@@andrewrenwick1222 And? It's not like the Big Breakfast was about Denise, personally I preferred Liza as she could actually make a funny comment and support Vaughn in the show, Denise was eye candy and probably got eye candy wage. If she was as creative as J.V. she would have gotten the remuneration package but who came up with the competition ideas? Who came up with Pundown? Who did the News? Who had to read all the papers at 04:00? Who came up with Vital Statistics? Who came up with the Friday song? Van Outen was a side kick that's it, she got a side kick's wage, simple as.

Watching this is like Will Smith in the scene from the film I am legend where he's watching recorded television in a post apocalyptic world. It's quite sad really. This show is still as sharp and witty today as it was back in 1998, in fact it's better. The world we live in went and took itself too seriously in the end, and what we're left with now is a world of offended people and zero humour. Morning TV was never really quite the same when this went off air in 2001, and TV generally slowly went south as well. This could never exist today without someone somewhere getting offended by it somehow, but it's still lovely to watch it and reminisce. Gone but never forgotten.

@@slapmyfunkybass I totally lived through it. But hey, it was different for everyone, right? Some things were better then, some things weren't, some things are better now, some things aren't, but I'll admit 2020 has been exceptionally terrible. I'm just not one for nostalgia and I think our memories get clouded and rose-coloured when we try and compare our younger selves to our current selves.

@@vooveks The only thing I can find that’s better today is my internet speed. Even putting the pandemic to one side you have the increase in terrorism, high streets on their knees etc. If that wasn’t bad enough music is terrible, back then you had the birth of Britpop, films today are made just to pander to a pc audience, having little substance or merit. There was talk of them bringing the Big Breakfast back and they even admitted due to today’s woke culture it would be too difficult. I really don’t think it’s rose coloured glasses - I wish it was.

I like to sit and reflect about how this world was so different from now. This show happened in a world that existed before 911, before Iraq war, before the 2008 Stockmarket crash, before Facebook and the rise of social media, before Trump, before the smart phone, before COVID, before self driving cars, before the Chinese meteoric rise to power, before the decline of America, before Brexit, before antifa.

The 90s was by no means perfect and I am sure we can dredge out many of stories of socioeconomic problems back then but today this world has become so cynical, so politically correct, the problems in the USA have never been greater. China is on the verge of taking over as the most powerful country in the world while the USA is facing a major pandemic and is so divided along political lines
