I bought my son a neutral looking doll and put it in a blue and white onesie. He was sorta into it for awhile. I didn't push it, it was just there amongst an assortment of toys. It's good for boys to be nurturing and comfortable with babies of all kinds. Love is everything.

Yeah, I played with Barbies when I was a kid, and I’m straight as an arrow. I only had girl friends when I was a kid, something about roleplaying the emotional side of things rather than just acting out violence and whatnot via toys was very helpful for my formative years methinks

Actually what she said was yeah you can "if you want". Like there would be some reason he wouldn't want to. I don't think it was on a conscious level but it's so ingrained going to take more than one generation to truly see equality. If it was a big sister saying "we can play babies" mom wouldn't have felt a need to qualify her statement with "if u want" becuz why wouldn't she want to she's a girl. That was in 1966, I was 5 and we recently celebrated his 80th birthday. If I asked him today if he’d play Barbie, he’d tell me that’s exactly what he had in mind today. Everyone's family is different. I just know for all the arguments and times we weren't talking, when push comes to shove and one of us needs help all that goes out the window and we'll drop everything to help each other

My oldest was 3 when my twins were born and those newborns snapped their necks to turn whenever they heard her voice! It felt dang near supernatural! 😂

People.... Sigh. The person wanted to start a 'doesn't matter that he's a boy, he can play with whatever he wants okay??' thing and it wasn't the time or the place. It's perfectly fine the comment Hazel made but somewhere every single time people must always bring up the gender thing, push it down our throats. Please just relax. We're all enjoying a precious moment between a brother and his sister. We live in a world where men and women are different, why is that always such an issue? And this boy looks so happy, nothing wrong with the way he's being raised
