That was a great video! Nothing better than hearing bugles like that when in the woods and bonus seeing one that close up!! I get gooseys anytime I hear a bull bugle it’s an amazing feeling and sound!

You seem to hunt rut in a lot of lower elevations with oak and ponderosa, Is there high country immediately adjacent to these areas or are these isolated, more or less, from taller mountains?

This area is ALL lower elevation, with no "high country" around. Other areas I hunt have a mix of high and low.

What specific cow call are you using?

If I remember correctly, this was the Primos Hyper Lip Single. These days, however, I use the Steve Chappell "Matriarch" or "Trophy Wife" single reed calls; they don't lock up as much, they take less air pressure to work, and they sound incredible!
