Big Cats - Fastest Hunters of the Serengeti | Wildlife Documentary
Watch 'Wildlife Predators: Tiger, Lion, Leopard and Jaguar - The Four Big Cats' here: • Wildlife | Episode 1: ...
Thanks to Jongryul Lee who is the original copyright holder of Big Cats in the Serengeti for sharing this film. If you want to see more of his work, please go to: / serengeti-wildholic
Serengeti, preserved in the image of its creation. A strange change has swept across the vast beautiful plains. Heavy rain in the dry season, while the wet season grows shorter and drier. Harsh climate change has finally moved onto the deep meadows of the Serengeti...
There is only one rule in the plains, live or die. However, the wild animals are acting against their primal instincts to survive. Cheetahs, alone by nature, form packs and live together, while the lion, king of the savannah, abandons all pride, accepting dead meat after travelling hundreds of kilometers for prey.
A daily battle for survival in the Serengeti. Just as the migration of the wildebeests continues for tens of thousands of years, the wild animals will forever adapt to the changing environment. This fierce effort keeps the Serengeti alive, and makes it a true breathing heritage.

The video portion of this documentary is excellent. Too bad the narrative is so terrible. From the monotone computer generated voice to the less then stellar writing. Stop giving these magnificent animals human qualities.

@@00tonytone I hear you there. But that voice is far more troubling with regards to 'information' it claims to produce. It is absolutely wrong repeatedly throughout the documentary. Someone will watch this with the desire to inform themselves and their curiosity will then be unknowingly sated by total BS. Such is the dangerous spread of modern day ignorance.

He also was clueless, whoever wrote the script was clueless. If a mother Lion went a MONTH without eating, she would be dead, and the cubs hair wasn't falling out from malnutrition because they weren't malnourished, they were nice and rounded out. Probably a bit of mange. And not *all* male Cheetahs travel alone, there's been a coalition of 5 male Cheetahs that has become quite famous, 5 brothers hanging together which is pretty amazing, but they do regularly stick together often in smaller numbers. Jeez, get your facts straight. I know more just from watching a lot of nature docs. 🙄🤦‍♀️ Plus attributing human characteristics to animals, anthropomorphizing, is the most silly thing for a wildlife narrator. The male Cheetah doesn't immediately "fall in love" with the female, puh-leeze, she's probably in heat. Animals instinctually are driven to breed, to perpetuate their species and pass on their genes. It's not about falling in love, although related animals may feel affection towards each other and mothers toward their young. We don't know that mating in any way equates to love. They mate and go their separate ways. Sounds more like a one night stand to me 🤔😂 It's been awhile since I've heard a narrator be so clueless.

Me too. Its bad but not usually this bad. This is how it usually is Dry Season Wet Season and others but its not this bad that the lions haven't eaten for a whole month. He did not know what he was saying about the weather conditions. Since the earth had its creatures wilderbeast and other prey migrate and come back after sometime this period they leave is known as the 'DRY SEASON" The lions pretty much get used to this ,but not all herds migrate So the lions usually have some food. If they didn't for a month they would have been skinny.

Top notch footage and seeing as many nature docs as I do I actually appreciated the narration for a change. I don't know how often cheetahs feel "ashamed at their lack of resolve" (lol) but there are a lot of deep cutting emotions in this I might not have taken in otherwise. The loss of a newfound love, being forced to abandon your sick child. Animals do feel things after all. You don't need abstract cognition for everything.

Lion cubs are ridiculously cute. It's almost outrageous that they start out that cute and turn into apex predators. Although I find fully grown lions somehow cute as well - something about their housecat-like behavior is irresistibly cute (unless, of course, they're eating you alive).

It’s admirable of how thee cheetah children helped defend their mother. It’s just sad to see that the male cheetah will not be able to see how beautiful and strong his children have become. Andas for the lion family losing a cub and the male elder was sad and traumatic for the family and each one the cub and the large male lion had to separate themselves from the pride.😢

One particular pride, I forget the name went 7 years without 50 cubs making it to adulthood. All 50 perished one way or another over a 7 year period. The mortality rate in the African Savanna is insane for all big cats.
