Thank God. Whole sentences, nouns, adjectives, clear words, no mumble, lying about guns and how much dope ( they think they sold). or harmonies with stupid aSs sound effects. BARS!!!!. They saved hiphop. Breathe of fresh thought..

@@honorableatalltimes3579 the greatest versus battles will never happen. Jay-Z versus Notorious BIG, R. Kelly vs Usher, Tupac vs. DMX, Michael Jackson versus Prince, Aaliyah vs Beyonce. Also, I think the Lox vs. G-Unit would have been far better than the Lox vs. Dipset. Just imagine Jadakiss and Lloyd Banks going at it.

I remember meeting the Teacher a few years ago when he was performing a show at the Abby in Orlando Florida. Before the show KRS and his entire crew came in to dine at my family's Thai restaurant. It was like a party of 15. His wife was also there. I went over and thanked him for all his contributions to hip hop. He was grateful and appreciated all the love and respect the entire restaurant was showing him. He ask who cooked his meal which was Salmon and stirfry vegetables. I told him it was my mother and that made him appreciated it even more. I told him my mother is 75 yrs old and she still wants to work everyday. He ask to meet her, she agreed to come out and meet him. They kick it off right at the first moment she came out. He ask about our culture and told her how much he respected our tradition. He told her that he was honored that she actually cooked his meal for him. My mother was so grateful that she even gave him a small Buddhist charm for good luck. In return he also gave her a African good luck beaded necklace. He even gave my 2 nephews necklaces as well. We took pictures and I even did shots of Sake with them. He also invited me and the whole staff to go backstage and watch him perform. That was a really cool experience. I'll never forget that day. Thank You Teacher aka KRS One.. If you're ever back in Orlando to perform or just visiting it would be our honor to serve you and your family again. This time we'll drink more Sake to help you loosen up 😆.

When "Aint no half Steppin" came out summer 88' ... THE RAP GAME WAS CHANGED FOREVER. This set the tone for the entire golden age to come. The ominous yet playfull beat was so HARD and the lyrics had more rhyme scheme and wordplay than just about anything human ears had heard before. THIS IS WHY IMO KANE IS THE GOAT OF HIP-HOP. He was a battle MC than even had Rakim ducking him bc he knew Kane would tear him apart in a battle. KANE, RAKIM, KRS-ONE... Thats my 3 greatest rappers/MC's of all-time. Then you can throw in guys like Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Eminem, Tupac, Biggie, Kool G-Rap, Ol Dirty Bastard, Nas, Del The Funkee Homosapien, etc...KANE, RAKIM, KRS-ONE WERE NOT EXACTLY THE FIRST TO DO IT... BUT THE FiRST TO SET THE BAR WHICH IS STILL THE STANDARD OF FLOW.

Man, you've gotta love Big Daddy Kane. I'm digging this mature, pissed-off, heavier sounding Kane with all the cussing too. He only gets more cool with age. It's crazy when you think of the image he had back in the day, that he mentions being twenty-one in Wrath, which means he may have still been in his teens during that early Juice Crew stuff. Then you find out he actually wrote half of the lyrics you knew by some of the others. The man is a one-of-a-kind talent. - and much thanks for posting this

When Kane's - Aint no half-steppin' came out summer 88' that shit was harder and more intense lyrically than pretty much anything on the waves. Rakim, KRS-ONE, and Kane's lyricism ushered in the golden age of hip hop. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pNeAn6lmstSXYoE.html

I miss the days when I could turn on my radio and hear beats, rhymes, and delivery of this caliber. At this point, hip hop is on life support. If we don't get some real rappers in here soon, this art form is going to die and our grandchildren will never know what it was. Both KRS-ONE and Big Daddy Kane still can bring the heat better than anyone out there today. And props to Big Daddy on that hat!
