Feeling much more positive this week - but what will the scales say? :) also sharing a look at the Get Slim app that I'm using in case you're interested.
Thank you again to everyone for cheering me on and for taking the time to leave such kind and thoughtful comments, it's really helping to keep me motivated, and to everyone who is walking this path alongside me, I'm sending you positive vibes - here's to another great week, we can do this!! :)

Thanks so much Liz 😊I've had a little peek at the clothes from Bazaar and Joe Browns already, also have plans to make/makeover some clothes, I've even padded out my old tailors dummy ready ..... :)

A stone is not a mini target Annie, it’s amazing. I’ve been watching along and whilst I have done nothing about my weight problem, you are nearly a stone lighter. It’s just amazing, well done x

Well done Annie, you are doing great. After another week in Cornwall I think I need to try and pull things back this week to make sure I’m still within my target range when I go to my next weigh in on Saturday. Keep up the good work, you will feel amazing as you see the pounds come off and you hit your target. That will deserve a lovely shopping spree for some wonderful bright colourful clothes. Good luck over the coming weeks. Xx

Thanks very much Maggie, I'm feeling so much better already, it's like the changes I've made have started to take root. Staying on target once you get there is a whole different challenge isn't it? I will need to stay focused when I get there, I dont want to slip back into old habits, but I'm hoping that by then the lifestyle changes will be so ingrained that I will want to keep them up. I guess that's a way off though. Meanwhile I'm going to treat myself to a couple of new tops to cheer up my blah wardrobe a bit :) xo

You are an inspiration to so many people. Good job. As you say there are a lot of ups and downs in weight loss and in life and we are not alone. If your clothes are cotton and /or linen, you could cut them into pieces for quilting, slow stitching etc. That is unless you are sick of them, or you could dye them.

You are looking fabulous, your face is definitely slimmer! I’ve also done the same as you and got rid of clothes that frankly I wouldn’t wear if I was really slim!

Thank you very much Helen, I definitely feel better, but hard for me to tell if there's a visible difference - I am so looking forward to looking back over all the videos when I've reached my goal. I'm going to treat myself to a couple of nice things and also try some makeovers, I have even padded out my tailors dummy ready to work on :) xo

Brilliant Annie you look great and I can absolutely see that you have lost weight. Cearing out your wardrobe is a great exercise too and you can make lovely things with the things you keep. x 💐

Thanks so much Jen, I really appreciate that - it's hard to know yourself if there's a visible difference, but I definitely feel better both physically and mentally. I've cleared my drawers as well now, you wouldn't believe how much stuff I've got worn for years I had crammed in there. John has been a regular visitor to the local charity shop over the last couple of weeks and I have some stuff I plan to try making over or using for other projects, watch this space xo

Darling! I am so pleased to see you feeling brighter and more cheerful! Amazing that you're still losing! Slowly, Slowly catchee monkey 😅 The slower you lose it, the more likely you'll be to keep it off. If you're like me, you'll just wake up one morning and notice that you are slimmer straight away. You should absolutely treat yourself to something new to wear! Don't put that off, please. You So deserve it, Sweet Girl. I hope you're over the moon about your progress - I know I am! Thank you so much Lindsey, I feel so fortunate to have my band of cheerleaders helping me to keep going through the difficult bits and celebrating with me when things go well, it makes a huge difference. I'm noticing some differences - clothes are a little looser, running upstairs is easier, healthy choices more instinctive and maybe most important of all is that I feel in control, like something's clicked, you know? Onwards and upwards and hopefully no further outwards! :D xo

Thanks so much Shelly, yes you're absolutely right, and I can definitely feel a change in my mindset and a confidence that I've taken control and these changes are part of my new life. Ah yes my little room is my happy place, full of fun stuff to play with, as well as lovely things friends have made or I've enjoyed making myself. I did do a craft room tour sorta recently if you'd like a closer look :) xo

Well done Annie - you’re doing great. You really do have wonderful definition around your waist now. Enjoy buying a few new clothes that make you feel great. Like you I rarely buy new clothes but it is fun when you have something flattering and fab to wear. And happy you had a lovely time with Tom with some indulgence too. Cheers, Christine

Thanks Christine, that's really sweet of you to say. I'm going to treat myself to a couple of things and also rework some of the old Grey Marquees I turfed out of the wardrobe - use them as a base to create something more fun for the new me! :)

Well done Annie I lost half a pound this week I need to do more walking and stay out of the kitchen in the afternoons. Have you watched Marion’s world she has made some shoes using fabric twine.❤

Well done Pippa - I've accepted that slow and steady wins the race, even though we might wish for faster results. As you say, sometimes we have to break our normal routines to avoid temptation - for me, it's having a G&T and nibbling while cooking dinner in the evenings, also late-night snacking. Keeping my hands/mind busy with something else helps. When I was giving up smoking many years ago, I had to avoid certain triggers that would set my cravings off - like going for a walk instead of sitting in the canteen for my lunch break, because sitting down with coffee made my brain think a cigarette was on the way. I tend to be a bit all-or-nothing, so if I eat one cracker I want to finish the whole box - moderation is definitely not my super-power. I can easily imagine being the same about dieting and not knowing when to stop - I think finding a balance and maintaining my weight once I hit my target will also be difficult, but I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it! We can do this Pippa, onwards and upwards - have a great week :) xo

Congratulations Annie 👏👏 how brilliant do you feel !!!!. You are looking slimmer in your face and more compact body wise. Clearing wardrobe contents is like clearing your life I often feel. I am munching carrot sticks as I watched you such fun. I love salt and tried the pink salt which is supposedly better for us. Get it in Poundland or Morrison's a lot cheaper than elsewhere. We are all rooting for you, nearly a stone , happy dance.

So happy you’re more positive this week. Keep up the rather fabulous work. Himm what to do with old clothes, me I kept one thing from each size I lost, yep it’s hanging in my wardrobe, um every so often I will pull out this size and go whaaaa whooooo you go girl, lol so me. I lost weight over a long time, changed my eating habits and well if I want junk (you know I do) I make it myself, yep I make Lister Burgers yum (beetroot and mushroom pattie yum yum) or my favourite go to pizza (wrap with a little chicken, vets aww love me veg on pizza and just a little Edam cheese) oh my who knew pizza could taste so good. Sweets have been hard to give up aww nothing like a hard candy this I’m still working on um turned out I’m allergic to fake sweetener we won’t talk about what happens let’s say I found a cleansing agent for me body lol and yes I lost weight but supper fast so not good for you. My big jumpers I gave always however I did keep one made a cat bed out of it dog and cat love this so um maybe make one if you don’t have a cat go get one! lol himmm I watch this lady she make things with fabric I would recommend very nice lady to! Aww I did a crochet rug in the round for my daughter with old clothes she loved this (didn’t tell her it was made with old clothes) was asked to do a bath mat did two of these for her great way to use fabric, cut into strips away you go. Thnks Paula! Uh-oh you've made me want pizza now but as you say you can make your own healthy version, I will try that, maybe with roasted veg and veggie sausage on, I think John would like them too and he could have chips with his. hehe I know the thing with the sweeteners, I can only eat one or two without repercussions - but tbf they do warn you about that :) Great idea to do a crocheted rug, or maybe some of those crocheted bowls. You mentioned a lady you watch who makes stuff with old clothes - were you going to add a link? Well done for turning your lifestyle around Paula, and thanks for the encouragement, I really appreciate it :)

Slow and steady wins the race... A different mindset about life also helps to go on from the initial start. You are doing great and are such an inspiration. Hiding in blah clothes, ouch! Yep I did that too ... I just cut up two items of clothing for crafts, I am making my own fabric stash lol. The website you use is too expensive for me as my money is budgeted to the last penny, but I am doing intermittent fasting, so only eating in a short part of the day, it's working 🐌 and steady ... I am going through my clothes too and it's almost like pulling teeth for me lol... But I have promised myself to create something I will enjoyment the fabrics... I might make a pair of Yan trousers... (That's a person I knew years back who wore great trousers that I loved .. a bit hippieish but not outrageously so) ... I told my daughter and we both busted up laughing as I have wanted these trousers for 30 years!! :)

Oh my word it's time you made those Yan trousers Vanessa, and when you do, you HAVE to show me some pics, I would love to see, sounds like I would love them too. Yes I know what you mean when you're on a budget - when I signed up to the GetSlim thingy, it was on a special offer, only £1 per week for 3 months and it may be that after that time I will stop it as I'll be well on my way. Meanwhile, I'm saving a few quid everyweek just by eating less I reckon, so it's balancing out! :)

Well done, Iv lost 1st 2oz so I think we both need a slap on the back😊but I still have a load to go, since I v had cancer every one has been feeding me up and now it’s to put a stop to the ice cream and cream cake 😂😂😂 what do you have when you want something sweet ?

Hi. I find diet cola helps. It's that little bit of sweetness that takes the edge off the craving for cake, etc. Also, Ribena - either hot or cold - but has to be the 'no added sugar' variety. Clementines and satsumas are great for snacking. Ditto fresh strawberries. Also, I love overnight oats as it feels like you're eating fruit crumble first thing in the morning! I mean, who doesn't want pudding for breakfast???

Hi, sorry I missed a whole batch of comments so I'm very late replying. I don't crave sweet so often as salty, but I do have a couple of sweet things that don't break the calorie bank - frozen bananas and yoghurt whizzed up to create a kind of soft icecream; banana pancakes made with just one mashed banana and one egg and a drop of vanilla; a tiny amount of dark chocolate finely grated over the top of yoghurt gives a chocolate hit; those 10-cal sugar-free jellies (Hartleys); individual packs of mini rice cakes covered in dark choc (Kallo); soft fruit in summer; fruity ice lollies.

Well I need a peg bag, remember my mam made one from a frilly blouse eons back. Your doing well Annie, I'll join you on the catwalk when we are both at target.. I have a chocolate handover feeling so ill. Made a chocolate cake yesterday ate half, not used to that much sugar, never again, bork. Just hope that tyre I lost hasn't welded itself to my saddle sacks.

Oooh yes, peg bags, that's a good idea! I would be just the same if I made a cake, I just don't know when to stop and will keep going until it's gone. For me, it's more savoury stuff I tend to go for, but if there was a home-made chocolate cake in front of me I would not be able to resist. John's had a tub of chocolate icecream in the ice box for a couple of days and I can hear its tiny siren voice calling me even now .... eat me eat me eat me ..... :) Hope your weigh-in went well today Johnny, when are you going to do another video catch-up?
