I have a theory that Big Mom is actually Mother Caramel and when she acts like a child that’s LilLin. MC was awaken and fused her soul with hers so she could have a stronger body and saw the potential that BM had as a kid and instead of giving her to the WG she took her for herself

Glad you talked about zoro not being human oda has shown us time and time again that ZORO is not the regular human by surviving high falls which robin mentions from skypiea, surviving insane blows from mihawk which arlong is shocked to his core about, and the whole nothing happened scene itself. There a reason why luffy, zoro, and sanji are called the monster trio with 2/3 currently being confirmed superhuman in some capacity.

i think all 3 are definitely insane ngl like now that sanji can just put his body back together like that. i agree overall, sanji is cyborg genetic super human. and luffy is luffy, but ZORO cant just be a normal dude, if he is im embarassed for the rest of the humans in one piece XD

That blue and red oni story has me thinking that was the reason Yamato fought kaido. I see plenty of people saying that fight was forced and fanservicey, but kaido is an azure dragon, and Yamato wears red. Yamato fighting kaido truly assures the reader that Yamato's a "good guy" and not a potential spy or anything fishy

oni might be a mix between ancient giants and regular giants. kaido lacks the teeth the ancient giants have but has the horns, while he is the size of a giant.

No he isn’t. Oda has made it clear he isn’t even comparable to the size of a basic giant. Big mom kaido and wb are alll just big compared to base humans. They’re small compared to humans. Onis aren’t related to giants. Or ancient giants.

I had a thought that Big Mom was an oni based on the story of the red and blue oni (although with Wano finished it’s more likely Yamato is the other Oni). But Kaido’s hybrid is blue and Big Mom’s design is pink/red Edit: Idk he would bring it up in the video. Good shit

I love this theory. The lack of BM hunger pangs in Wano is actually mindblowing and the Oni thing in general feels so real for our normal world even. Japanese folklore really has a lot going for it, amazing stuff!!

I was rewatching big mom’s backstory in the anime and the narrator refers to Dory as the Red Ogre and Brogy as the Blue Ogre. Apparently it’s on the wiki too. Just thought it was an interesting note when considering the Red and Blue Oni. I’m sure Elbaf will have all the answers.

amazing video and theory, for real, it makes a lot of sense as a way to explain how will is inherited. When you were explaining what an oni is, pointing at big mom, I thought of a lot of characters and they all had 2 things in common, they were either devil fuit users or not-human, so maybe the other races' origins and devil fruits are indeed related

Just a quick note for future when you're looking at etymology in Japanese, at 3:04 on'yomi refers to a way to read a character. There are on'yomi which are the readings derived from chinese, and kun'yomi which are the original japanese readings and in this case the on'yomi reading also happened to be "on" hence the understandable confusion.

0:34-0:40 Hiyori still having hatred in her heart should be treated like a Fisher Tiger situation. It makes perfect sense to me that Luffy just comes to free the island from whatever they're being oppressed by, his job isn't to fix all their problems. There aren't always happy endings in One Piece! I also loved this quote here by Parvision because he basically said "Hatred only begets more hate" and the first 20 seconds was "There are nexuses, causal relationships that cannot be separated" Nah cause that mans Madara really tried to tell us.

An interesting theory. OP has things that could be considered mystical where things like Will are capable of being weaponized taking various forms of Haki then that being passed on as Inherited Will used to defy the regular rules. Then there are DFs and Liniage Factors, multiple races with barely explained relationships between various species/races and elements or objects.... Voice of All Things & Breath of All Things etc The way the story is shaping up, to be a post apocalyptic one, it is possible that in the distant past an ancient civilization cracked the code that then blurred the lines between science and the metaphysical. Can't wait for more lore and more out of the box theorires like this.

Interested in seeing if a mink in sulong form or chopper who put their lives in danger due to overheating would be fixed if mixed or injected with the oni virus? Chopper might add it to his rumble ball to extend transformation time. Heck fishmen are immune to cold conditions ice oni virus may not hurt them at all.

napoleon said he was "too shy" to come out, which is odd. shy of who? docile big mom? or chopper? haha napoleon being shy of gentle big mom is kind of comical, but thats exactly what a few other commentors pointed out that him saying that line was already kind of weird, and was possibly alluding to something else. more than that, its like napoleon let himself get smashed in by Queens Dive bomb attack im pretty sure, so idk if shy is even the right word for what happened there, and i think what chopper said was more on the nose because normally if your "Captain" got amnesia, youd probably try to reawaken their memories right? i think the word shy there is even more telling tbh

25:10-25:33 Didn't you also mention that Oni's are supposed to keep wicked people who aren't wicked enough to be Oni's in check? Isn't that what he would be doing if Luffy was an Oni? That actually just adds to his charecter and to his role on the crew as first mate. He LITERALLY said he was the King of Hell and what are Oni's supposed to be again? Another example of Oda spittin and us not getting the entendres.

3:06 just wanted to correct if it hasn't been pointed out. Japanese Kanji are mostly derived from Chinese, which lead into discrepancies on how the different regions of peoples pronounced things, such has 'hanzi' in Chinese, becoming 'kanji' in Japanese. An 'On'yomi' reading is one of two ways (the other being kun'yomi reading) a Japanese speaker may read or pronounce a kanji according to context. It's not a part of the meaning of the kanji 隠.

This makes me think about the Hakuba Eyes theory from a while ago. Do you think that overlaps here with the Oni idea? I think Big Mom had those eyes at some point as well during WCI and they were yellow. The other characters in the story that have unique looking eyes like that too would be Cavendish (Blue & Yellow), Mihawk (Yellow), Zunesha (Blue), and Imu (Red).

I was watching GrandLineReview’s chapter review of 1067, he asked about “what could the ancient robot being powered by?” He then thought “what if it’s powered by Haki?” I actually really like that theory but instead of any ordinary Haki, I think it should be extremely powerful conquer‘s Haki.

Really hope you read this Parvision, your take on Zoro possibly being an Oni makes so much sense to me! Idk if it’s been said before but that would also make the parallel between Sanji and Zoro more apparent. Lunarians with their black wings are like fallen angels which is also considered a “demon”. Zoro being an Oni would be hilarious in that they are again, pretty much the same lol or different sides of the same coin. And wouldn’t it be fascinating to learn that Lunarians and Oni have some lifelong rivalry against one another?!

hey parvision this is a little detail about shadows in one piece i discovered recently i rewatched your shadow theory video with randy troy a fews days ago and while rewatching one piece... i noticed in thriller bark that luffys shadow does not have a shadow strawhat! i was perplexed and thought it was an anime mistake i immediately reread that part of the manga and guess what the shadow is missing there as well ?! ... strangely the shadow of his clothes are there so why is only the shadow of his strawhat missing??? clothing hair and horns and other stuff seem to be included in the shadows so why is only the strawhat missing??? why did nobody ever talk about this??? i cant be the first to discover this ...can i??? your thoughts on this

I have a theory... What if... What if Big Mom and Kaido didn't actually die and Big mom's army and Beast pirates join forces to help Luffy bring down the World Government and they all find the One Piece and Laugh Tale together and exchange gifts and sake and share stories together kinda like how Roger and White Beard did after their big fight? I could imagine all pirates along the Grand Line and OP world help Luffy in an epic battle kinda like the second 300 Movie where the Greeks and Spartans ally and help against a big power

16:28-16:54 ironic that the "Oni" big mom is tied to the Homies not activating during amnesia. I equate the homies in this situation to an imaginary friend. You would forget an imaginary friend if your trauma was forgotten or mended in some way like if you grew up and learned to move on or something like that. I swear sometimes Oda makes us think he's wildn but he's really not, there's just context we don't have due to the barrier of different cultures. This actually does make me more hopeful for possible explanations for stuff like whitebeard not helping oden, the gorosei's "incompetence" with Nika and *cough cough Ohara cough cough*. Oda be spittin and we don't look for the entendres, which makes us think he's falling off, nah he's just teasing the devil's seed but never playing with the shaft.

If Zoro is an Oni and we follow your theory, then he might have experienced extreme torture and blood loss in his past life. Just like Big Mom and Roger snapping and becoming demon-like when triggered, I've felt a hunch a few times during Zoro's fights that he changes after taking a lot of damage. Almost like he enters a different state of mind and he gets serious, or the more damage he takes the stronger he becomes. I'm sure there is some link here to his experience with Kuma in Thrillerbark and recently in Wano when he saw Death (I think? I mean do we even know what that was yet...?)

I think Napoleon said he was too shy while she was being nice, but i always thought that made 0 sense. I think you hit the nail on the head here. Big Mom is BIG AF BOI and its never truly made sense to me. Her being an oni could be just be a latent family trait? Or maybe the mom got with an oni man without telling the other one?

The generational trauma is something that i've been keeping an eye on too, particularly in Luffy's case with poison. Luffy's been poisoned multiple times in the story through many different ways and makes it a point to show that poison doesn't "work" on him in Wano. Luffy might not even be the only one on his crew with some kind of trauma to poison as Sanji has stated that he'd never poison or tamper with his dish at whole cake island and the fact that poison played a big role in his fight with Don Krieg when Sanji was first introduced. This makes me think you might be closer to the mark thank you realize at 21:30, and that the void century may have happened to cover up a royal wedding gone wrong.
